I don't think anybody, at least not that I know of, would like to see him go. In fact, I'd hate to see him go unless his attitude is somehow bad for the team. On that, I have absolutely no idea. I know he runs hard and he looked way better towards the end of the season. He's also very durable and you can't say that about all backs on his level. But again, that said, a decision gonna have to be made but if it's just another $100k I don't imagine that decision will take long. And if that's all it is, I say give it to him.

I agree. Plus it's a negotiation so maybe we give him 50-75k. We all agree oline needs to be improved anyway. It's not his place to demand it, but he's right.

Seeing that he had 2/3rds of his yards after contact this year was an eye opener for me.

This right here. He is the best back I have seen playing behind an trash o line, and unless you can tell me exactly which better players we will get with the money we save, I can’t see any reason not to pay him.

Some of yall would be awful managers if you expect subordinates not to tell you when something is wrong needs to be fixed. Why shouldn’t he demand a better o line when he is the one putting his body on the line? It’s not like he’s going to espn and complaining, we are hearing leaks and acting like he is putting Kiffin on blast publicly. Geez Louise

I think we should keep Judkins mostly for optics. He’s one of the best players in the country and it would look bad if he leaves Ole Miss for a Texas Georgia or Ohio State. Keeping him says we are a program striving to be on the same level as the best teams in the game. Encourage him to go pro after next season and never spend that much money on a RB again. He’s also one hell of a back.

Dart Judkins Bentley Watkins Deion Smith and hopefully Harris and Prieskorn and one big time WR addition from the portal is a playoff team next year. Just gotta build up the Lines on both sides of the ball.

There’s not a single game we would have lost this season if we didn’t have Judkins.

I don’t think this is true.

Subordinates aren't as smart as they think they are and 90% of the time talk without knowing the entire picture.

Because he’s asking us to spend money to get better linemen while also asking for more money himself. It’s like Lamar Jackson bitching about not having any weapons around him but then he signs one of the biggest contracts in NFL history. You have to be willing to compromise a little if you want help

He's very good. How much NIL money is Ollie Gordon, Cody Schrader, and Omarion Hampton getting/demanding? Those are your Doak Walker finalists. Cody Schrader and Ray Davis are the 1st team all SEC RB's. Seems like NIL is being wasted if we can't even field a decent OL and 1 deep on WR, TE, and multiple other areas.

Counter with $50k. We need a better oline regardless so that isn’t even a negotiating thing.

Tell him the other $50k will go towards the oline

Honestly I absolutely agree. Take his talent and throw it out the window. It looks absolutely terrible to let our star RB go to a blue blood program when we are clawing our way into that status.

This is ultimately the problem with the current NIL state that’s different from the NFL… gotta be regulated

People have got to stop confusing NIL with NFL salaries. The NIL isn’t a salary. It’s the equivalent to endorsements in the NFL. Those are not subject to any regulations.

Lol frick that. We don’t want regulations. We catapulted ourselves from a fringe top 20-30 team to being right outside the top 10 as far NIL war chests go. It’s the reason we had so much success this year. We were able to get players from other teams and offer highly competitive deals that a lot of teams who wanted our portal players couldn’t compete with. We are in an incredible position moving into next year because of it. You want to bury Auburn, Arkansas, and MSU? Well this is the way

One of the players I know on the team told me they were privately told they were going to a NY6 bowl. Not sure who told them that though so could be a load of bull

Man, all these posts got me fired up again. I wish we had more games to play. The season just seems to go by too quickly.

State and Arkansas sure. Auburn has too big of a fanbase and money to stay down forever.

Any indication that the $12M will be replenished yearly?
This is my worry. We have a large collective right now. But that money will not last forever and needs to be replenished annually plus some. Because $12 million may be good right now but I guarantee if nothing changes as far as regulations go in the next 5 years, that $12 million will need to be $20 million
