Because NFL players have actual contracts and salaries and endorsements are just the cherry on top. Until there is an official way to pay players, NIL negotiations are more like salary negotiations and it is totally reasonable to change employers to get paid more. Like others said, it looks much worse for us if we look cheap when it comes to an all American caliber RB.

I’m gonna bet FSU gets leaped by Texas after they win the big 12 which I think pushes Louisville out and opens up a slot for Ole Miss.
FSU is not a top 4 team without Jordan Travis. FSU has only beaten one ranked team -LSU. And the ACC is weak.
A team that got beat by the 9th place SEC team is playing for their conference championship. Georgia Tech is ranked #4 in the ACC. No way FSU makes It.

That's also horseshite though. If FSU goes undefeated, they deserve to be in. We need to run this like a playoff, not a beauty contest. If Pat Mahomes goes down, they don't take the chiefs out of the playoffs.

I absolutely agree. The more money, the better in this climate. At this point, we’re in the ballpark with Texas, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, and Oklahoma. We might not be quite there with everyone, but some of these teams we’re going toe to toe with. Could you imagine even being in the same realm as those teams 5 years ago? We were a joke. Now we’re on the fringe of competing with the blue bloods of college football due to NIL. When the 12 team playoff happens next year, we have a real opportunity. Keep donating to NIL, and cherish these times. Nearly makes me tear up how far we’ve come in such short time. Walker Jones is very good at this and will continue to lead us in the right direction!

Jesus just thinking back from when I worked in the AD a little over 10 years ago. The entire place being ran by GOB incompetence from old football players and cheerleaders from the 80’s-early 90’s. We’ve come a long way. And somehow we’re managing to do it with more or less the same types.
