Nebraska didn’t have any close wins

Well they only played four ranked teams

Had LSU only played Clemson, OU, Georgia, and Florida - the average margin of victory would've been 46-22.

*LSU was up 34-3 vs UGA when starters were pulled, 56-14 vs OU when starters were pulled, and took a knee at Clemson's 5 on first down*

Also, Nebraska beat 3-8 Washington State by 14 points at home.

And Nebraska only scored over 50 four times.

LSU? 7.

It wouldn’t matter though. If LSU ran through this schedule and each game was 65-0 there would still be a bama/aggy suggesting that 1984 BYU was better.

Throw in the projections that LSU will have between 3 and 6 1st rounders this year.

There's a chance Burrow, Chaisson, Delpit, Queen, Fulton, and Jefferson all go in the 1st round.

They were very good, no doubt.

TBH I’m just happy this discussion is even happening. 1, 2 or 3 all time is fine. 2019 is somewhere in there.

No sense even arguing about it considering they all happened in different decades.

Arguing different decades is difficult like you mentioned. But, I’d have 2019 in the top 5 at least, maybe even top 3. You guys have a strong case though.

You had the best season yes, but not the best team.

Your defense was not good enough to be the best team ever. Your offense is the best ever but defense had issues.

Vandy put up a ton, Bama put up 41, Floridas back up QB went up and down th e field on you.

Best team ever dominates both sides of the ball. Nebraska in 95 is the best ever.

#2 Alabama (47.2 PPG)
#4 Clemson (42.9 PPG)
#6 Oklahoma (42.1 PPG)
#17 Texas (35.2 PPG)
t-#28 Florida (33.2 PGG)
t-#28 Auburn (33.2 PPG)

Beat these offenses. Our defense wasn’t suspect. Our #1 offense just kept scoring too quick.

Best team in the 150 year history of college football.

1995 Nebraska played in the last year of the piss poor Big 8 conference in which almost nobody but them and Oklahoma ever won a title for about 25 years. When your biggest regular season tests are Colorado, Kansas and K-State, that ain’t much regardless of where they’re ranked.

Nebraska also played a Florida team that was just not very physical up front defensively and got exposed.

1995 Nebraska was a great football team, but their opposition wasn’t nearly as tough as what 2019 LSU faced.

In terms of dominating it's SEC opponents
Alabama in '18 was BY FAR,more dominant. Its really not up for discussion.

Let's see how many players get drafted.I don't think it'll come close to '01 Miami
But you guys deserve a nice, solid pat on the back for '19.

So you’re blowing up the “Nebraska” destroyed everyone argument with the fact that they really didn’t play anyone.

Thanks.

William,

There seems to be a disconnect between the coordinated negatiger troll groups.

-One says that Nebraska dominated everyone.
-the other group says it was Miami talent.

Lemme settle this for you “domination”folks

Then lemme settle this for you “talent” folks

LSU 2019 hAd both.

Arkansas scored 20 points
Georgia scored 10 points
What can we gleam from this?

Also very strong:

Clemson 2018 - Blew out everyone in the regular season, but waxing Alabama really puts them in that discussion. Recall that Alabama that year was also talked about as being one of the best of all time since no one could even play them close. Three of Clemson's d-linemen that year went in the early-mid first round (#4, #13, #17).

FSU 2013 - Loaded with NFL talent and dominated on both sides of the ball.
