Texas just wrapped up a 7 year net spend of right at $71mil — for Charlie Strong and Tom Herman. Not counting any coordinators/assistant salary or buyouts. $10+ mil/yr just for the HBC. That’s also not counting Sark’s buyout at Alabama... if he had one.
We'll gladly pay 9mil/yr to finish top 10 and lose to Alabama, since one alternative is to pay 10mil/yr to get absolutely demolished by OU and freaking TCU

A&M has their coach. They have done everything they can to meet any of his needs, and he has improved the program. It's a lot more expensive to pay a coach for failure than it is for success. Because when a coach fails, you have to buy him out and then pay the new staff as well. Look at what Texas for example has paid for "failure" over the past ten years
