Because he turned around FSU and won an NC there, one of the 4 in the past 15 years not won by an SEC team. He appears to be trending in a very positive trajectory at A&M. Like Kirby at UGA, he just needs to find a way to get past Alabama.

These are the type of posts that make me smh. It’s always one extreme or the other. A bunch of misinformation and nonsense.
If Jimbo is a one hit wonder then why does he have seasons where he finished 4th, 5th, 8th, 10th, 16th, 17th, & 23rd while currently sitting at 5th?
I’d rank him below Saban and Meyer too, but he’s closer to them than to Gene & O.

When the rumors start, the media asks the coach, the coach denies. That doesn’t mean shite. Schloss did the same thing a couple months ago before we hired him.
This is getting ahead of the story. This is making a statement to Lsu and their fans. Y’all don’t have a shot. Stop wasting your time. You couldn’t dream of matching what I already have.

It's A&M being extremely insecure and extending a massively-compensated coach based on minimal evidence. And it's to guard against a smaller and poorer school who may not have a vacancy and may not want said coach from hypothetically pursuing him.

Got news for you friend, even with the buffoon currently tanking the program Jimbo isn't #1 on any list of coaching hires. We don't want him. Y'all have created this fantasy where LSU fans want your coach soooooo badly but Jimbo is soooo in love with Aggieland so LSU can never have him. Theres plenty of role play threads over on the rant dreaming about O's replacement and Jimbos name isn't mentioned. Most commonly heard:
