Watching the Michigan Podcast and they mentioned the Big 10 which is being ran by Kevin Warren AND Barry Alvarez may go against playoff expansion to hurt the SEC. And, the Big 10 may raid the ACC taking UVA, Ga Tech, Duke and UNC.

A conference that’s already burdened with the waste of space that is Rutgers Football should think twice about adding some of those teams.

What a murderers row. As if their conference wasn't weak enough already. Rutgers may finally get some wins.

I agree. If anything the Big 10 should be concerned with keeping Penn State. Penn State, I believe, wants to go to the ACC and hook back up with their rivals Pitt and WVU (if they go to the ACC). And, I do believe the ACC with Penn State and Notre Dame would command a healthy TV contract.

Penn State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Wisconsin.....

Would all have an issue with the brass at the Big 10 opposing playoff expansion I would think.

If they did that then we just take Clemson, FSU, a VA and NC school and we just have our own entire separate season and post season

I thought the 12 team playoff was a done deal.

I think the Big 10 believes if they can keep Michigan and Ohio State on the same page everyone else will follow. And, that seems to have worked. But, I think times are different now.

Big 10, Big 12, Pac10, and ACC and ND announces they will no longer play any SEC teams

It matters more

This is getting stupid. They need to leave well enough alone. The other 3 should mine the Big12 leftovers to each get to 16.

I don't see how voting down playoff expansion hurts the only conference that currently has the potential to get two teams in as well as having 4-5 programs that could realistically make the field. There are a few B1G teams on the outside looking in every year, but only Ohio State really has the potential to make the field as things stand. So if anything playoff expansion helps the B1G more than it helps the SEC.

All but Clemson have had their asses handed to them in the the playoffs. They can all go to the kiddy pool since they can not swim with the big fish.

Just based on money if the SEC adds VT and NCSU that would bring a windfall

Do we really need the big 10? Ohio State is the only program who has won a Championship this century. If they don't want an expanded playoff, then cut them out of it.

If true, this tells me those rumors about Clemson and Florida State to the SEC might actually have some truth to them. Why would they not go after Clemson?

Keep the B1G high on program name recognition and low on competitiveness for Ohio State's benefit, block playoff expansion for Ohio State's benefit, hope the SEC cannibalizes itself and ends up with 1, at most, beat to hell team in the field for Ohio State's benefit.
