Sandy Koufax is Jewish — born Sanford Braun in 1935 to a Jewish family in Brooklyn, and he’s widely considered the greatest Jewish athlete in American history.
His most famous moment came in 1965, when he sat out Game One of the World Series because it fell on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in Judaism. He wasn’t even particularly observant, but the decision made him a folk hero. He came back and threw shutouts in Games Five and Seven, winning the series MVP.

I read some interesting facts about Arkansas football today that I was unaware. There are lots of billionaires and millionaires in the Fayetteville region thanks to Walmart, a trucking company, Tyson Foods, etc.

I was unaware that the NFL prevents owner from contributing to NCAA teams as a violation. That means the Waltons that own the Broncos and Jones of the Cowboys cannot contribute directly. Not sure if there is a work around.

Anyway the Waltons group split with the truckers and the Tyons on the hiring of the new coach. The Board wants backers to join in raising NIL.

Agree. However a happy compromise would be playing no other non conference games except from P4 teams.

Is that correct? If so I'm really surprised. I'm slipping in my old age.

If you really feel that way may I say adding Arkansas and South Carolina have contributed absolutely nothing but Texas and A&M have contributed. I expect OU will be better in the near term than either Arkansas, SC or Mizzou.

Ahh.. Halloween night in Tiger Stadium with Billy Cannon 89 yard run and a 7-3 win. I was listening on a scratchy AM radio and wasn’t sure he scored until the announcer recovered. The crowd noise was unreal.

I guess UGA has now dissolved low enough you can finally tell the Commish it is ok to play them now. I absolutely do not understand how y’all get the easiest schedules year after year in SEC.
