I'm opposed. Why save Texas and Oklahoma.

Why would Oklahoma want to leave? They’ve been hands down the best program in their conference for more than a decade now since Texas has been down. If they come to the SEC and they’ll have to compete with Bama, LSU AU, UF, and/or UGA for the conference title every year.

Kiss my Crimson arse and pound sand. You had your chance and thought you were too good for the SEC and tried to join the PAC. Texass and Choklahoma can go to hell!

If it's not us it will be the Big Ten. You're about to see the formation of megaconferences because the P5 will soon split away from the rest of the FBS to form their own league. The Big 12 is on borrowed time. Oklahoma State is the only other school besides the aforementioned Texas and Oklahoma guaranteed to survive the move because the Oklahoma legislature ain't letting Oklahoma State remain behind.

Nope.
We should kill this with fire. Don't need Texas destroying our conference

It's really going to come down to money vs. everything else.
They would bring an absolute truckload of money with them into the conference. Everything else would be bad.
Conference scheduling and divisions would need a total revamp. Texas has proven time and again to be a terrible business partner. They would both demand special treatment. They would make it harder for traditional SEC powers to win the league. They will make recruiting harder. Etc.

texas will be just another member of the sec. they wont come in as the big dog running everything. anything other than that would be a keep on looking answer. unfortunately it appears that everything is about to change, whether we like it or not. if the sec doesnt stay ahead of the curve, they'll get left behind. dont think it cant happen.

Texas would hurt aTm only in my opinion and hinder LSU's ability to recruit the state.

Unless something has changed regarding conference voting I call BS on this. The SEC, again unless this has changed, requires an unanimous vote to allow a team to join. No way aTm would vote yes and just one no would prevent it. And the last time OU put feelers out there it stated they could not leave without taking OSU with them per some law in their state legislature.
It eventually will happen in my opinion with conference realignment as the the P5 I suspect will become the P4 and create their own playoff system while finding ways to eliminate a path for a G5 or other school.

It only requires 3/4 approval, not unanimous.

you would have to be pretty fricking stupid to willing let texas anywhere near your conference. those libtards are poison

Pretending this happens, would you move Alabama and Auburn to the east, and Miz to the west?
SEC East: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
SEC West: Mississippi St, Ole Miss, LSU, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma
Would make sense geographically, but damn the west would take a beating year in and out. Leaving Alabama and Auburn in the east with would be just as tough of a schedule.
On one hand, I did think that Sarkey's comment about it was kinda damning.

So SEC West would practically be a SW Conference reunion under the SEC banner.

I hadn't considered that, but yea. I guess it would.

I really don't want Texas in the SEC.
