Fire Dan Mullen

Mullen is not fit to be Florida’s coach. His biggest problem is his teams notoriously choke at the end of the regular season. His teams regularly play their worst ball at the end of the regular season. He’s 0-13 against ranked teams played in the last 3 weeks of the regular season in his entire career. In 12 years as a head coach, he’s literally never won a game late in a season against a team that finished ranked. At Florida or Mississippi State. His 2014 team, the best team he had at State who everyone points at for being ranked #1 in the middle of the season, lost 3 of their last 4 games. He was 10-17 at State in the last 3 games of the regular season and 0-11 against teams that finish ranked. He has yet to defeat a ranked team late in the regular season at Florida.
At Florida, where he has played shitty teams regularly at the end of the season, he has still never gone 4-0 in the last 4 weeks of the season. He almost broke this in 2020 and then lost to a 3-5 LSU team with a true freshman at QB and 53 players on the roster. The 2020 Tigers is the worst LSU team in 20 years and exactly 7 days after clinching his first ever divisional title and having a legitimate shot at a National title for the first time in his career, Mullen shat the bed against a vastly inferior team.
This was easily Florida’s most talented team in more than a decade, Trask this season was one of the best pure passers in conference history and averaged the same number of TDs per game Burrow did last year, and Florida will finish 8-3.... let that sink in.
Mullen’s most impressive victory in 12 years as a head coach is against an incredibly overrated Georgia team that beat absolutely no one in 2020 and would get worked by every team ranked in the Top 10 right now. That same UGA team didn’t even have their best QB on the roster take a single snap that game and had 6 starters out on defense...
It’s time to realize Mullen will never have what it takes to win a championship at Florida. And Florida deserves better.
At Florida, where he has played shitty teams regularly at the end of the season, he has still never gone 4-0 in the last 4 weeks of the season. Actually it was under 50 by the end of the game.
Also were missing our top two running backs and top three corners against you, a passing team.
Our top two receivers had also opted out before we played you and and we imposed a bowl ban on ourselves that week.

They won’t fire Mullen right now. (It is inevitable though) But he needs to be forced to part ways with Grantham. It’s unbelievable he needs to be forced to do it.

Didn’t we beat Mississippi State???? With Gus? Didn’t you know??? Mississippi State will always be remembered as the last school to take an L in the Gus Malzhan Era at Auburn and I know that f***s you up. It would be too.
