Does Kirby’s seat start to heat up with another loss in 2020?

I would say that our game against Mizzou is a toss up because they can score in bunches and we, obviously, struggle to do much on offense.

Will people give Kirby a pass because of COVID and injuries, or does he start to get a little uncomfortable after a 7-3 season?

I’d say the warming up process started yesterday.

He's going 8-2 this year. Our schedule is trash moving forward.

With all the injuries and not having a QB in an All-SEC schedule, he's not on the hot seat with another loss. Honestly he's one hotshot QB away from having us contending for another NC.

It should be hot now. We are never winning a national title with Kirby so it's time to shitcan him and find someone who will win one.

I don’t think his job security is in question yet but for the first time his seat started to increase in temperature. I think 2021 is where you can start to see a real shift in allegiance should it go super poorly.

I’m still a Kirby apologist but I think if anything he’s just not lost the benefit of the doubt

No but the writing is on the wall looking at the situation objectively. He will not be coaching in 2026 at UGA.

Kirby is officially on a seat that now has an expiration date. Wouldn’t say it’s hot, yet.

I think there’s more questions than answers for the first time since we closed out the 2016 season. And I think that is a good thing. I think Kirby was hungry to prove himself in 2017 - I don’t think our lack of elite success is due to Kirby losing an edge or anything, but I do believe an edge needs to be set on Kirby. He needs to feel some pressure. It’s year 5 and he officially looks like Mark Richt after a humiliating loss to Florida. I’m hoping this is the moment that makes Kirby evolve and become a great head coach. Because he has been good but not great so far.

I posted this in another thread, but at least we aren't Tennessee. They lose another and over on VolNation they are melting extremely hard. Seeing that gives me some perspective. If we are to run off every coach after a season that doesn't meet expectations we never will be able to achieve anything. Kirby will do a lot better if the fanbase doesn't continually mount underserving pressure on him. Overall Kirby has been an improvement from Mark Richt, lets be thankful

No, injuries would be most responsible.

If Kirby allows Monken to open up his offense the way he sees fit goes a long ways toward rallying the fan base. The man seems too stubborn to even entertain the idea.

No way. What Kirby needs to avoid at all cost is another QB debacle like he experienced twice now. This season is headed nowhere so why not play Beck. Mathis is gonna be a bust and Bennett has had his day in the sun. The kid from USC has gotta be rethinking his cross country decision. Give Beck some games, have a QB that has some game experience awaiting the new guy on the block.

It should already be (at least) warm.
