I know you're online, so don't welch. I'm pretty sure I have a few more ban bets out there, but not sure who. This is the only one I could find.
I will not Welch. Happy to see you crawled out of your hole the last couple of weeks to talk shite. Haven’t seen you around. Whatever has gone on in your life I’m happy a football game gave you some much needed confidence to get back on here.
re: Does Kirby’s seat start to heat up with another loss in 2020?

Honestly he's one hotshot QB away from having us contending for another NC.
Why would a highly rated QB come to UGA? It’s not Year 3 where Kirby can pull the used car salesman lines and tell these recruits, “I want the offense to be this and that and you to be the center point and spread them out, etc.”
It’s year 5. We still can’t pass. Over the last 12 games we’ve had NINE Instances where our QB failed to complete 50% of his passes.
2019 Fromm (5 times) vs. Mizzou, Auburn, A&M, GT, LSU
2020: Mathis vs Arkansas, Florida
2020: Bennett vs Alabama, Florida
This is no longer a “weakness” or “non-strength” this is becoming our identity as an offense under Kirby. And it is not sustainable.

3 years of MuLLLen can’t beat Kirby. Now all of a sudden when he does it, he still hasn’t accomplished anything? You can frick all the way off.
Isn’t the title of this thread saying Kirby is a fraud? So is he a fraud or is Mullen’s victory over him impressive? You can’t have both.

Arkansas also recruited very well on the O-line when Pittman
Arkansas recruited well but never to an elite level that UGA has on the O-line. Pittman’s genuine awesome personality and Kirby’s used car salesman bit was a dynamic tandem.
I’m incredibly intrigued to see what Pittman can do at Arkansas. Arkansas has never ever pulled elite talent and I don’t see Pittman pulling off top 5 classes but if he can get top 15 classes on the regular and build the trenches, Arkansas could be a consistent top 25 team.

Lol the Gator faithful are way too confident after beating Les Richt 2.0.
Kirby is a used car salesman. Nothing more. The fact that Mullen’s Magnum Opus victory as the Gators head coach is over the bowl cut’s worst UGA team in 4 years speaks volumes. Kirby sucks but call me when Mullen actually accomplishes something lol
re: Mullen Wiped His Sperm on Kirby

Lol that record is only going to improve with Kirby’s inability to develop a QB and evolve in the 21st century of offenses.
Kirby = Used Car Salesman

Kirby is officially on a seat that now has an expiration date. Wouldn’t say it’s hot, yet.
I think there’s more questions than answers for the first time since we closed out the 2016 season. And I think that is a good thing. I think Kirby was hungry to prove himself in 2017 - I don’t think our lack of elite success is due to Kirby losing an edge or anything, but I do believe an edge needs to be set on Kirby. He needs to feel some pressure. It’s year 5 and he officially looks like Mark Richt after a humiliating loss to Florida. I’m hoping this is the moment that makes Kirby evolve and become a great head coach. Because he has been good but not great so far.

re: How Bad?

Everything you said is pure conjecture. How do you know Fields wasn’t ready? How do we know he wasn’t better than Fromm. Based off practice? You mean the same practice analysis that had Mathis ahead of Bennett? Tool set is great, too bad the quarterback position isn’t just tool sets or Ryan Mallett would’ve beaten out Tom Brady in New England. Mathis having a bigger arm and being faster means absolute dick. A good coach should be able to determine that playing QB has multiple factors involved.
I hope Kirby corrects this. I know he’s a DGD. I know he bleeds red and black. His glaring issue is QB evaluation. And saying Choosing Fromm was the correct choice is a joke. Dabo went with Trevor Lawrence over an experienced Senior QB and they won a national title. It’s a part of coaching to be able to evaluate and know what you have in your QBs.

I disagree. This game was good for the long term. Let’s be honest, if we win this game we still have glaring issues and lose to Bama in Atlanta — once again being good but not quite good enough. Our fan base claps each other on the back and say “hey East champs again - we’re close.”
I hope this game puts some really needed pressure on Kirby. I want him to be great. I know he bleeds red and black. This QB fiasco has to be corrected or we will never get over the hump. I’ll take a humiliating loss to Florida if it means we can come back better than ever. frick going 9-1 again only to lose the Big game again. Kirby needs to be called out and corrected or we may just have a Muschamp with better players on our hands.

Keep defending Smart and see where it gets you. “Fromm beat out Fields” - ok - Allegedly Mathis beat out Bennett to start vs Arkansas. And he looked like a fish out of water.
So, is there a possibility Kirby sucks at evaluating QBs?

Do you not listen to Kirby? “Stetson gives us the best chance to win
But Kirby thought D’Wan Mathis gave us the best chance to win at Arkansas and he looked like a chicken with his head cut off? And Kirby also told us Fromm (the 5th round draft pick who will hold a clipboard on the sidelines his entire career) was a better option than Justin Fields, the Heisman favorite who has put up video game numbers at OSU and will be a top 5 pick in 2021
So I think it’s safe to say Kirby has no clue what he’s talking about when it comes to QB evaluation.
Pressure is on Kirby

For everyone on this board talking about how good the recruiting is — Good luck with that when our QB play looks like this.
You think we’re going to keep landing 5 star WRs and tailbacks when our QBs can’t give them the ball? The pressure is on Kirby to get the QBs fixed or he will not be here for many more seasons. We’ve won a lot of games with bad QB play — that ain’t the case anymore.

We are down two scores with 8 minutes left...
Can you imagine if Kirby didn’t frick up the Fields situation?

The recruiting is overblown. It’s great but the fans on this board routinely start every discussion with “our 5 star at..”
Our vaunted #1 classes routinely lose players. One of our recruiting classes has LOST FOUR 5 stars. Including the best QB in the nation in Justin Fields. Kirby is a used car salesman. Nothing more.
