76 teams have played games this season. The only team that's been worse than Grantham's Gators at stopping third down conversions is Ole Miss. Gator opponents are converting 58% of the time.

This is our best staff since Kirby's been here IMO.

There's no doubt we lose Lanning after this year.Gonna be some pretty good openings for '21

I would think low revenues might keep some from making changes.

Maybe but I wouldn't call it a certainty. Hell look at Kirby he waited like 10 years for when the time was right.

This can’t be right.

jodeaux said that Brenton Cox was going to be amazing and that Azeez better step his game up for us on 3rd down.

The money is too outrageous these
days to have that type of loyalty
IMO. Yea,I'm well aware of the Venables situation at Clemson but
he's very much the exception.

Also the fact that NOBODY is playing defense this year except us is gonna give em alot of leverage. He'll get a big bump at the minimum.

Where would he go? Kirby will match any money for DC pay. It would have to be a head coaching job and he's too young for one.

Venables is an exception to the rule and we've already lost a OC,DC and OL and canned another OC since '17...just the way of the world at successful programs (sans Clemson)

If Mason got fired at Vandy or Muschamp got fired at South Carolina think either of them would be possibilities for DC if Lanning left?

Not a great time to be paying coaches to not coach. I would think most coaches get a pass on this year.

Is there a thread anywhere of all the former coaches still being paid?

Lanning would a crazy to take either job. He has a roster full of talent for the next couple years. 3 years of being a HC at a school isn't worth derailing a career.

He will have options but outside of Texas, Oklahoma, or some Big10 school, why would you roll the dice knowing you won't be able to compete. SEC coaching is hotter than ever.

He makes almost as much as a HC at a G5 school and he's not far behind HC's at smaller P5 schools.

Dabo is a recruiter and glorified cheerleader who realizes his weaknesses and his AD supports him by opening up the checkbook for top-notch Coordinators and position coaches.

I could absolutely see Kirby bringing in Boom as DC when USCJr finally sends him packing.

Assuming Lanning takes a gig elsewhere in the same cycle, of course.

You just better hope he doesn't bring Bobo back with Boom.

Two things happened to keep Venables at Clemson.

First, his dream HC job (Kansas State, his alma mater) came open. He wanted and was ready to take it, except that his mentor Bill Snyder screwed him by politicking behind the scenes for his son to get the job. And that didn't happen either.

Second, his kids are now playing for him in college. He will leave after they graduate.

Lanning has gotten massive pay raises for a reason. Kirby wants him here for the long haul, similar to when he was directly under Saban. Lanning is very young, he’s not going anywhere for a while.

I never expected Pittman to get a HC gig so quickly.

I have no predictions on lanning
