Ole Miss was a train that went from Memphis to Oxford so how about Ole Miss Express: Ole Miss Rag

Wasn't Ole Miss Express given some consideration back when yall got rid of the CSA flag, early 90-ish?

I believe it was. We could use train imagery and a big whistle in the stadium. Better than that "First down, Ole Miss" chant. How generic.

But the mouth of the river is in Louisiana. I doubt bull sharks make it far enough up river to Mississippi.

The Mississippi Mascots would be a good fit.
Then, they could just rotate all sorts of caricatures and creations.

Rising Tide is a terrific book. Anyone who cares about the history of Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas should definitely read it. It’s hard to grasp how much the 1927 Flood impacted all three states in ways that still reverberate today. You could travel all the way from Vicksburg to Monroe by boat.

Wait, you would change to a water based mascot and then get rid of the shark?
Bull Sharks venture into and can survive in fresh water.
Ole Miss Flood with a Bull Shark mascot....

You’re gonna call yourself the flood and get rig of a water based mascot? Yeah ok.
On another note, we will have a crimson tide and a flood as mascots. So stupid

I thought Ole Miss chose the Black Bears a year or two back.
Is that not correct?

Naw, naw. The Mississippi MudCats. For them damn catfish in Ole Muddy that get to be the size of a small shark.
BTW, why isn't UNLV under this kind of fire? They are the Rebels too and it's a poor knockoff of Col. Reb for their mascot.
