It’s time to move the SEC Championship Game

The SECC being in Atlanta every year is a huge advantage to some teams and a huge disadvantage to others.
The average winner of the SEC Championship game drives 3.87 Hrs to Atlanta. Take the outlier (LSU) out of that, and the average drive for the SEC champ is 3.13 Hours. This is with the average SEC west drive being 6.5 hours to Atlanta. The distance pretty much dictates home-field advantage, with some teams (Auburn & Georgia) having an extremely advantageous location. Pretty much a home game for those 2 teams.
My suggestion would be that there are 2 possible locations for the SECC, and the higher seed gets to choose. Atlanta being one and Independence Stadium in Shreveport being the other. This allows some of the SEC West teams to not be at a disadvantage year in and year out in the SECC game.

I appreciate the ignorant fear.

Wouldn’t work from a logistical standpoint. Too much planning to deal with. But I wouldn’t mind seeing it move around on a yearly basis between some of the other NFL stadiums in the SEC footprint.

What?? Why?

People would vote for St. (not in the north) Louis over Shreveport. Wow.

King Knoxville should be hosting it at least every third year

If both teams can get in and out of Shreveport without getting shot the city would have something to celebrate

Birmingham, Jackson, Shreveport rotation every 3 years.

Add Little Rock to that rotation and we are set!

TF is wrong with you? Independence Stadium?!
One of these is not like the other. Sorry, Atlanta is the hub of the Southeast.

Uh, ok. Hope you can make it out for the game...it's a lovely city, actually.

Next thing that will happen is no more National Championship games in NOLA when LSU is in the mix...

Rotate it between Atlanta, Nashville and New Orleans. Maybe Houston or Jacksonville too.

That stadium only holds 54,000 plus. If it rains, the place smells like a sewer. No thanks.
