My source text me a bit ago and places this squarely on the coaches.

Did they go all Jeff Gilloly and Shawn Eckardt on his knee or what?

If we had a widespread injury problem due to coaching, you’d think it would be evenly distributed across all parts of the team. We’ve had very few WR, RB, QB, OL injuries. Why is it the LB position? Makes no sense.

Won't quote for obvious reasons, but wow! Really an indictment of the S&C team.

It's fricking unbelievable how many injuries we've had at LB since 2016. Saban might need to consider putting LB's in bubble wrap going forward.

Sounds more emotional than logical to me.

That's an interesting text. Sounds a little reactionary and melty to me.

Exactly.

Our coaches don't do anything differently than the rest of the country to get our players hurt. We were very lucky for several years on the injury front. Now, the odds are evening themselves out.

I guess we just have the worst luck the last 5 years? Seems legit... does anyone know what the definition of insanity is??

Well at least this is an opportunity for Saban to exceed his best coaching job to date (2015 IMO)

Well, that's over the top, but yeah, you really can't count on any dude being there by season's end with the way things are going and the timing.

Also, I hope those of you who went into "nbd - we are completely set at ILB" mode when we lost out on Dean and To'oto'o realize how dumb that take is now. I mean, you probably don't, because you're the type of person who initially got yourself OK with losing Dean by saying "nbd - we've got To'oto'o coming" and then followed that a couple of months later with "eh, nbd on To'oto'o either" with zero cognitive dissonance, but I hope you do anyway.

And yet you made a post on the rant somewhat supporting this BS.

Except I didn’t. I said there was news on the Georgia board he tore ligaments. I literally said I didn’t think it was true.

Turns out it is true, so don’t blame me for this shite.

Obvious answer is obvious, right?

Run Dime as the base and have McKinney call the defense?

I mean, we would've been ok with no injuries. Its bad luck. Kind of a dumb take you have there.

It boggles my mind that Justin Flowe doesn't want to come here. He'd easily start from day 1 next year, but if he goes to UGA, for example, he probably won't start until he's a Sophomore or Junior.

I know these aren't your words Boz, so this isn't directed at you. But that is a pretty ridiculous paragraph.

Yeah, at some point you have to stop chalking it up to bad luck and try to determine if something else is going on. I really don't want to say my suspicions, as they are just that.

The players have changed since then.. bigger, faster, stronger.. that hard nose approach only gets guys hurt now days. It’s a different game at a different speed now. I agree going 100% at times let’s you know who’s the best.. but all the time gets you hurt. Every hit is like a car wreck now.. enough of those and your hurt. Bodies can’t take that kind of stress and damage. These guys aren’t 175lbs anymore

But they're not significantly bigger than the beginning of Saban's tenure. To say something has changed with our conditioning/preparation is ridiculous. Could it be simply that these injuries are a statistical anomaly? Quit overreacting in the moment.

All you guys saying on here we should be shutting players down or limiting contact will be the first ones crying when an Ole Miss or Arkansas racks up 320 yards rushing, "We've gotten so soft! What happened???!!!" Don't get your panties in a wad.

Ya got class, we're gonna find it out
