re: Notre Dame takes shots at Brian Kelly for no reason?

Didn't they lose to N Illinois? A Jr High team?
This is why Freeman isn’t a top 5 coach. Marshall, NIU, etc.
With Freeman and BK it comes down to this:
BK: His teams are more consistent and he has a proven track record of stability and managing programs. They’ll beat almost every team that they have better talent than, but he’ll almost always lose to teams with better or equal talent, and quite often by double digits. Not a serious threat to win a Natty, whether he has been at Cincy, ND, or LSU. Boring, predictable, but consistent.
Freeman: The opposite of BK, his teams are inconsistent. When playing teams with better or equal talent, they will almost always either lose by a close/respectable margin or even beat them. Again, the opposite of BK. His teams have 1 game every year where they lose to a team that they shouldn’t lose to. Again, the opposite of BK. Exciting, unpredictable, inconsistent. Again, the opposite of BK. Will probably not win a Natty.
My guess is ND fans will take the guy who does better against teams with better or equal talent, even though there is 1 inexplicable loss every season. He probably won’t win a Natty. Likewise, my guess is LSU fans will take the guy who has a very good track record of being a CEO and is much more stable than Coach O. BK probably won’t win a Natty, but going 10-3 and being a top 10-15 program every year is better than Coach O driving the program into the ground.

BK is a good coach, but at the FBS level he has had very, very few signature wins. He’s sort of like a more consistent James Franklin. He’ll beat the teams he should beat and will almost always lose to teams that have equal or more talent. He appears to be a good CEO of a program who will bring stability. He’ll win 9-10 games every year but his team will never be a serious threat to win a Natty.

Huh? Anyone with half of a brain could have success at Oregon with Phil Knight’s checkbook. They drop the biggest bag for pretty much every recruit they go after.

James Franklin, Penn State
Can someone please explain ESPN’s obsession with Franklin? He never beats teams with equal or better talent. His record against top 5 opponents is 1-18, and against top 10 he’s 3-17.

He took over a program that had went 32-5 (.864) over the previous three seasons, and he has went 33-9 (.785) over his first three.
I give Freeman somewhat of a pass for his first year. ND fans had been saying that Kelly did a shite job recruiting towards the end and the talent level wasn’t as good as Kelly’s last few years, and they were right. I looked it up, but in Freeman’s first year, only 3 players got selected in the next NFL draft. Their QB room was Tyler Buchner and Drew Pyne, who are both awful, so Freeman got screwed by both Kelly and the OC, who ironically was Tommy Rees. In the draft after his 2nd year, over half of their draft picks were in the 5th-7th rounds. That is terrible.
quote:
This includes a loss he was directly responsible for (not having 11 men on the field), a loss to a pitiful Stanford team that may as well have been a G5, and two upsets by actual G5 schools.
What’s interesting is Freeman seems to lose a game each year that he shouldn’t, but he’ll be more competitive or even beat teams that have equal or better talent. Kelly seemed to almost always beat teams he was supposed to beat, but he almost always lost to teams with equal talent, and outside of one win with an asterisk, he always lost to teams with better talent. Many of those losses were blowouts. His best win at ND was probably Clemson in the COVID year, but that was a fraud win because Clemson was banged up and Lawrence didn’t play. Clemson bent ND over in the ACC Championship Game when Lawrence came back.

No Auburn? List is shite
What has Auburn done to warrant being ranked? They were bad last year after signing what Auburn fans made out to be the greatest recruiting class ever, and they brought in a QB who had a lower QBR than Payton Thorne.

I'm honestly surprised that they don't get more studs in the portal. Their collective is one of the best in the country, so money isn't an issue for them. I remember in BV's first year they had a losing record but had a great class because they bought players that they really had no business getting, given their on-field performance. Sort of like what Miami and A&M have been doing.
re: Nico not at practice?
Posted by RammerJammer91 on 4/11/25 at 10:40 am
I don't see how anyone can be surprised. He doesn't give a shite about Tennessee and the only reason he's there is because they bought him. They offered him a bag that was way bigger than everyone else. If Oregon, Miami, or Penn State offered him the highest bag coming out of HS, he'd have signed with them.
That's not a shot at Nico. A lot of players go to a school solely because they were given the biggest bag. That's just college football these days. It is what it is.

Leavitt gaslighting MAGA this morning, who told her this was a good idea?
Leavitt used to be a guest host on "conservative" radio where I live. She was a trainwreck on the air. She ran for Congress in 2022 and got crushed by Chris Pappas, an unpopular incumbent who likes to take it in the arse from random dudes.

I'm a little surprised tbh.
How? He had an unprecedented volume of shite hires during his first term who went and stabbed him in the back and halted his agenda. His 2 Senior Advisors this time around, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, are confidants of the Bush family. The vast majority of his 2024 team worked for Bush, McCain, or Paul Ryan.

You were literally defending Newsom when they debated and, like the rest of MAGA, attacked DeSantis from the left after he announced he was running.
You say you like him being your Governor, yet you criticize him constantly, despite never mentioning conservative policies you'd like him to implement. Heck, you agreed with Ric Grenell that he was homophobic because he had the audacity to not support "pride" month.

Donalds and MAGA stabbed DeSantis in the back by agreeing with Kamala that Florida's black history curriculum was racist. That should be disqualifying, even if he walks it back. That's like saying that Cuomo and Newsom handled Covid better than DeSantis.

why aren't you bashing the Nevada Candidate? Or Wisconsin? Or Michigan?
Brown, Hodve, and Roger’s were all decent candidates. They got screwed over by MAGA. MAGA voted for Trump and blanked the rest of their ballots. MAGA almost cost us PA by doing the same, but thankfully Scott Pressler told enough MAGA to suck it up and vote for McCormick as well.
Why are "conservative" influencers and media members pushing for Amendment 3 to pass?

Can someone please explain that to me? The last thing we want is potheads to move to Florida and turn the state blue.

Meanwhile, what are your thoughts on over 90% of Trump's 2024 team being staffers and confidants of the Bush family, John McCain, and Paul Ryan? Trump hiring Karl Rove as an Advisor in 2020? Trump's Senior Advisor, Chris LaCivita, being one of Paul Ryan's closest friends?

He keeps this up and Vance is going to have a hard time holding him off for 2028.
It depends if Trump wins. If Trump loses, Vance should not be an option at all in 2028, just like Paul Ryan in 2016 after Romney lost in 2012. In fact, if Trump loses and Sherrod Brown wins re-election in Ohio, Vance should be at the top of the list with Miss Lindsey, MTG, Bobo, and the "Florida Sucks" Caucus Congressional members of who needs to be primaried. Vance bent over backwards to make sure Moreno was the nominee for Senate. Vance's political future is on the line next month.

2017 was most talented Bama team, simply a ridiculous number of future NFL starters on that team. It's the most talented team in CFB history actually. But Jalen Hurts held back that offense tremendously. He wasn't there yet.
Fun fact: 52 players on the 2017 team were either drafted or have played at least 1 game in the NFL. 51 have played in the NFL, with the only exception being Josh Frazier, who was drafted but never made a roster. 3 additional players (Moses, Allen, Jamey Mosley) were on practice squads. Insane amount of talent on that team.

MAGA has said for over a year that DeSantis' turn is in 2028. They've committed to supporting him in 2028, regardless of who else runs. Unless they're lying hypocrites, they'll fulfill that promise and tell the following people to frick off: Trump (if he loses), Don Jr., Tucker, Vivek, Kari Lake-Abrams, Vance, etc.

Frick off. You hate DeSantis and called him a RINO not too long ago. Also, Trump didn't push him past Gillum. Trump's approval rating in Florida in 2018 was -4 and 2018 was a D+7 year due to Trump's baggage. DeSantis won in spite of that.

Most of us think he would be a fine president and will proudly cast our vote for him when the time comes.
So let's put this to the test. If Trump loses to Cackles, are you committed to supporting DeSantis in 2028 and telling the following people to frick off? Trump, Don Jr., Tucker, Vivek, Vance, Kari Lake-Abrams?

I was prepared to vote for DeSantis in a primary but his campaign and his persona as a presidential candidate disappointed me.
There you have it, folks. MAGA cares more about "personality" than a track record of implementing conservative policies. A good number of these people probably voted for Bill Clinton or Obama because they had "personality."
