re: Chazz Coleman tells Tenner to f*ck off

Man, Heupel either needs to hire someone to run background checks on guys they drop big bags for or he's a total moron.
Midwest schools like Ohio State and ND were viewed as the front-runners when Coleman planned to enter the portal, but apparently they dropped out after they did some digging into Coleman. Tennessee ignored that or was completely unaware that he had character/attitude concerns, and they whored themselves out for him.
It's not the first time they've made this mistake, either. A few years ago they were desperate for a QB out of HS that had a lot of potential and they whored themselves out for Nico. Then they acted surprised that he would leave after the 2024 season even though his camp made it crystal clear from his recruitment that they only cared about money. A lot of people knew that he wouldn't finish at Tennessee when they signed him because of that, but apparently Tennessee didn't.

Miami and ND fans are pissed. They're calling Elko a fat frick and potbelly. :rotflmao:

A&M's class is unreal. If Elko can't win a title in the next few years then I'm not sure if A&M can win one ever again.

I don't disagree. Donalds sucks more since he stood side by side with Kamala against DeSantis. But regardless, if you're a conservative, the goal should be: make sure Jolly doesn't win and then when (not if, when) Donalds or Fishback governs as a RINO, get DeSantis to run in 2030 and take them out in the primary.

Going from DeSantis to Donalds is about as big of a downgrade within a party as you can get. Donalds isn't all that conservative and it's a disgrace that he hasn't been punished for siding with Kamala Harris on Florida's African American curriculum. I suppose the good news is that if Donalds governs as a RINO populist, DeSantis can primary his arse in 2030.

Miami is wayyyyyy too low. They have 1 good season and their fans are acting so high and mighty. They also twist themselves into pretzels saying that they didn’t tamper with Mensah, yet they vilify Golding and Kiffin for the Ferrelli and Demond Williams situations. They’re also a cult. Make any semi-critical comment on YouTube or Twitter about Miami and their fans swarm to the comment like a group of angry bees.
re: Sorsby
Posted by RammerJammer91 on 6/8/26 at 9:31 am to hookem33
What a joke. I'm very interested to see how the media will react. If Sorsby played in the SEC they'd be crying about this ruling, but given how hypocritical they were in their response to Ole Miss and LSU tampering compared to Miami and Texas Tech, I expect them to say this is good for the kid and sport.

And how would that in any way support the OP's stupid assertion that what Miami did was 10x worse than everyone else?
Cristobal waited until just hours remaining in the portal to tamper with someone who was under contract and enrolled at another school. That is much worse than anything that Kiffin and Golding did. Kiffin didn’t wait until the 11th hour to do that with Demond Williams. Pete Golding didn’t wait until the 11th hour to do that with the Clemson Linebacker. And Miami didn’t just get Mensah from tampering. They also tampered with Mensah’s favorite target, Cooper Barkate, who is one of the best returning WR’s in the country. Cristobal tampered with 2 studs at the 11th hour who were not in the portal, who were under contract at another school, and enrolled at another school.
Legitimate sports media ostracized Kiffin and Golding for what they did, and outside of a brief Joel Klatt clip, no one called out Cristobal and Miami, despite the latter doing something far worse. The ACC Commissioner cried about tampering and the integrity of college football when he attacked Ole Miss, but he said NOTHING about Duke, the defending champion of his conference, getting fricked over due to tampering.
The hypocrisy is crazy. Kiffin and Golding get crucified because they’re in the SEC and they’re viewed as a troll and the guy with the scruffy beard. Ryan Day and Mario Cristobal get no criticism because they’re not in the SEC and are viewed as a “tough” and “nice” guy respectively. It’s insane.

FFS. Golding was the most egregious. Duke had Mensah, he played for them, then chose to go into the portal. Miami was pursuing a player still in the portal! The clemson LB had already entered and exited the portal, landed at Clemson, and signed a new contract, and then you have Golding himself directly tampering.
Cristobal was way worse than Golding and Kiffin. Mensah wasn't in the portal. He agreed to come back to Duke and was under contract with them. He had just re-signed. Miami was desperate because they struck out on every other QB and they had just failed to tamper with Ty Simpson. Simpson was not in the portal and they offered him around $6 Million to back out of the draft and enter the portal. When Simpson told them no, they told Mensah to hit the portal. On the last day, with just hours remaining in the portal, with someone under contract. That's as bad as it gets.
It's a fricking joke that Kiffin and Golding get crucified but Cristobal gets a total pass. It's SEC hate.
The attacks on the SEC for tampering are hypocritical
Posted by RammerJammer91 on 6/4/26 at 8:31 am
I'm not going to defend what Kiffin and Golding did, but the attacks on the SEC from the media are something else. Kiffin was made out to be Hitler for the Demond Williams fiasco, and Golding is now apparently the worst person who ever lived for what went down with the Clemson linebacker.
Meanwhile, Mario Cristobal tampered with Darian Mensah, who was under contract with Duke, with just hours remaining in the portal, and the media is radio silent. What Cristobal did is 10x worse than what Kiffin and Golding did. I'm not defending what they did, but they didn't frick over another program by poaching a player already under contract on the very last day of the portal. The ACC Commissioner, Jim Phillips, who cried about what Ole Miss did with the Clemson linebacker, refused to defend Duke, a team from his own conference, let alone block Miami from poaching Mensah.
It's not even just this year. Two years ago, Ryan Day tampered with Quinshon Judkins and Caleb Downs and he received minimal criticism for that.
The hypocrisy is ridiculous. If you're going to crucify Kiffin and Golding, then you need to be consistent and do the same to non-SEC coaches who do the same thing.

Strange to attempt to dunk on a guy trying to solidify himself as the greatest governor in US history.
A lot of "Republicans" who have entered the tent over the last 10 years are liberals and moderates who only want to be entertained. They hate conservatives and conservative policies and they care about personality and being entertained. It's like WWE for them. What's ironic is they claim to hate RINO's, yet they'll pick people like Kari Lake-Abrams and Byron Donalds over a proven conservative every day of the week.

He's still the best option in terms of administration, effective policymaking, and policy implementation of any of the GOP field.
He is, but the majority of Republican primary voters and caucus goers don't care about that. They want to be entertained. They view soundbites and tweeting as "fighting" as opposed to actually implementing conservative policies.

Miami doesn’t get enough hate. They have 1 good season for the first time in a long time and their fans are acting like they’re the greatest program ever. Easily the most obnoxious non-SEC fanbase online right now. Not only that, but what they did with Mensah was complete bullshite and it’s ridiculous that they received hardly any criticism for it. What they did was 10x worse than what Kiffin tried to do with Demond Williams, yet Kiffin was made out to be the devil and Mario Cristobal got a pass.

It's always fun to dunk on LSU, but to be fair to them, a lot of people were high on Kelly when he was hired. They didn't believe ND fans and those from the midwest (Cincinnati, CMU, etc.) who warned them that he was lazy and a douchebag. LSU fans have acknowledged that those people were correct. Apparently, this has been common with Kelly. When Cincinnati hired him, CMU fans warned them. When ND hired him, Cincinnati fans warned them. Granted, things didn't end poorly on the field at those schools, but the common thread is that Kelly was lazy and a douchebag, regardless of where he was.
Heck, Josh Pate put on a clown nose and admitted that he was wrong about Kelly.

Trans mental illness...
I blame Bruce Jenner, and everyone who enabled him (media, celebrities, politicians, etc.) for the rise in tranny shootings. It’s interesting that we didn’t have all of these tranny shootings before 2014-2015, when Bruce, who was mentally ill, believed that he could somehow become a woman named “Caitlyn.” The media worshipped him and gave him a magazine cover and an Espy for “courage”, and he continued to be idolized. Imagine if the media and everyone else told him that he was not, in fact, a woman, much less stunning and brave, and told him to get mental help. We wouldn’t see anywhere near the volume of trannies, and by extension, tranny shootings that we see today. Heck, the punk who murdered Charlie Kirk was dating a tranny, so there’s a decent chance that Kirk would still be alive today if Bruce wasn’t glorified.
We need to stop enabling trannies. They can’t magically become a woman if they’re a man, and vice-versa. They’re not stunning, they’re not brave, and they shouldn’t be able to use any bathroom they want. We need to call them out for what they are - people with serious mental health issues who need help.

My takeaway is that they pretty much just regurgitated the CFP top 10 teams, shuffled them a bit, and made sure to wedge in Notre Dame.
They were pretty young this year. They have like 15 or 16 returning starters so I get the ranking. Nice portal class and top 5 HS recruiting class, too.

They have a really, really good portal class. A lot of high-end talent and players with proven production. I think they're over-ranked, though. Hoover will be a drop off from Mendoza and he turns the ball over too much. Nick Marsh is going to blow up in Cig's offense. A lot of people don't realize how good he is.
