FootballScoop Jeff Long considers Dan Enos a candidate for the position

I am sure anyone can throw a name out there but unless Jeff Long works directly for Kansas not sure there is any validity to what he considers.

Jeff Long is the Kansas Athletic Director.

#13 is the reason for Bama's success.

Bama had 4,6,11,82 plus current NFL players Cam Sims,Robert Foster,Calvin Ridley, and Bo Scarbrough to throw the ball during 2017.

Thought he was the reporter with the scoop. You can tell I know very little about KU football.

You're not wrong, but I think you can see in Jalen's play this year that he has improved, when he regressed from '16 to '17. I think Enos is probably a big part of that.

13 isn't going to be here forever. We need a guy on staff that can coach up QBs, and I don't know that we've had that the past handful of years prior to Enos. Kiffin was great at scheming to a QB's strengths, but I don't know how good he was at coaching up the fundamentals and improving their skills.

Kansas is a career killing job. Enos can wait and get something much better.

I agree. I’d think there are G5 jobs you’d rather have. At least those can be stepping stones.

Remember when Turner Gill was the hot name and mentioned for tons of openings and then he took the Kansas job?

So when Tua departs we're going to regress back to 2016 and 17 type offense?

I seriously doubt it.

I'm not even talking about just quarterback. I think Enos is responsible for much more than just quarterback play.

Pretty sure Enos is calling most of our plays. He wasn't great as a HC, but he's doing a pretty good job as qb guru and playcaller. He may want to be HC somewhere (and more power to him) but I think he's in his sweet spot.

Locksley wasn't great as a HC either, but his big break was at one of the worst spots in CFB. I like his potential as an administrator/future HC.

Is anyone ever going to hire one of Kirbys dipshit coaches ?

I think I may start drafting something up for the rant about how uga is career suicide for assistant coaches.

Gotta keep up appearances with my uga buddies.

Look at Locksley's resume. I'm sure he's calling the majority of the plays.

actually, Locksley's resume as O.C. isn't very good.

2 years at Illinois he averaged about

176.5 passing yds
173.5 rushing yds
18.3 points per game

4 years at Maryland he averaged about

206 passing yds
144 rushing yds
25 points per game

I could be a good play caller with this team. This is probably the most talent ever assembled on the offensive side of the ball at Alabama.

He was already at a G5 school and left to go to Arkansas. I think he will wait for a better job.
