Something is off with the program.
My guess is that Stidham has zero faith in Gus' system of offense as it relates to the pass game, and can't wait to get out of there. I think you see someone that is more concerned about not getting injured than they are in winning.
And if teammates perceive that Stidham has checked out, that filters to the defense and beyond.

First off let me commend you on this and not going full gump.
Second there is definitely something going on and I am n, I a Stidham supporter period. He has zero pocket presence and is as inaccurate as me.

You have to remember that we went through kind of the same thing with DuBose in 2000. He lost the team due several factors, even before the ncaa came down on us due to the Means fiasco.

Even if untrue I love it. Nothing brings me more pleasure that the stench coming from anything Auburn. High point of my week has been reading their boards. They’re rotting from the inside, and it’s a wonder to behold. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch. Enjoy it for the next two- three years. Gus ain’t going anywhere.

I also lol'd at this. Almost so far fetched it makes it seem like an Onion article.

Then we'll fire him and hire another coach to take us to an undefeated season and/or NC.

PLU EEEEEEEESE DO. We need a 2018 edition coaching search fiasco, and again it could happen to a more deserving bunch.

I always wondered why Sumlin barely recruited Stidham.

We will if we have to. And that coach will probably win the NC...Not like you'd know anything about that.

It sort of makes sense. They returned nearly the same team minus RB as last year. That was no lucky bounce pass win against Georgia or kick six win against Alabama. So something is different.
Not really. They lost 4 of the 5 starting OLinemen from the starters in the SECCG. They lost their best pass rusher, their best LB's, and their two best DB's.
Then, of course they lost their top 2 RB's.
They also replaced their OLine coach, so the players are learning new blocking philosophies.
All in all, though, they have lost two hard fought games. True, they did not look particularly good in those games, and have the worst part of their schedule in front of them...but they could still have a very good year, if they can pull together.
I'm not sure why they don't play Asa Martin more.

IF this is True we could end up with a Terry Bowden situation especially if they lose this weekend to Tennessee.

I have extra reason to root for Tennessee this week.
But, damnit Auburn, if you lose to Tennessee Auburn will deserve whatever dissention that comes their way.
Tennessee is awful.

Sounds like Auburn hired Mike DuBose.
A few cool wins here and there, even a trophy... but holy god did he leave the program in a heap.

You could be right, but that passing game/system did fine in 2013. It can work, but Stidham needs time and a clean pocket. he does not play well when pressured, and the Oline just isn't very good. And it gets worse. Gus really hasn't recruited the Oline well the last couple of years, and it isn't going well this year. They tend to try to ban-aid their OLine and play players out of position, so that doesn't help either.
