A little more detailed than my previous posts.

Team - Avg Att - % Cap - Total Att
1. LSU - 10,804 - 105% - 302,498
2. O M - 8,439 - 82% - 177,221
3. UoA - 7,182 - 67% - 179,556
4. USC - 6,640 - 81% - 152,712
5. A&M - 5,064 - 83% - 126,611
6. MSU - 5,031 - 56% - 70,427
7. U F - 4,094 - 74% - 102,350
8. U A - 2,962 - 35% - 65,172
9. U K - 2,896 - 97% - 52,128
10. A U - 2,874 - 70% - 74,736
11. V U - 2,812 - 63% - 59,052
12. UGA - 2,089 - 63% - 45,958
13. U T - 1,587 - 37% - 39,663
14. M U - 528 - 16% - 9,505

Thoughts:

LSU just sells some serious baseball tickets. If we say the avg ticket costs $10. That means LSU has brought in 3x as much as Florida in ticket sales revenue through this point of the season. This is not factoring in suites or anything like that.

Obviously an outlier year for MSU. I'll be interested in what their attendance will be next year.

I think Arkansas's early season hurts their avg. I bet if you look at the last month it'll be closer to LSU then USC.

A&M could be so much higher if they changed the ballpark. We have 5,400 seats (I think). 2 sections are saved for general admission. Visitor sections are required (actual seats). We sell out season tickets, but in reality, it only accounts for ~3k in attendance. The remaining 3k (or more) has to be visitors (returned and resold later) or general admission tickets which usually means sitting on grass unless you get there when the gates open or it's a weak match up. Turn those berm seats in chair backs, sell season tickets, and add new berms in the OF (home run area) and A&M's attendance will jump to 6-7k easily and top 10k for big games.

Outside of MSU, UK & UF will be getting new parks. They should both shoot up the rankings I would guess.

Did Bama build way too big of a ballpark? How much of that 8,500 is actual seating?

LOL MU. Thru 18 games your total attendance is still less than what LSU averages.

Missouri's fanbase is embarrassing, don't support football or baseball

It’s basically the same size it has been for years. The only additional seating was student.

and if you'll notice, that average attendance is more than the official capacity. Our capacity figures are only based off of actual numbered seats in the stadium. It does not account for SRO seats. Can you imagine if we had a berm in the outfield how many more tickets we'd sell, especially during the NCAAT.

So on average LSU has more fans attend a game thus far than Missouri has had their ENTIRE home schedule

It doesn't look like there is much room for any more OF seating. There appears to be some type of scrap yard or dump behind LCF/CF. RCF has a small area, but I think there is some storage there (cage?).

Our attendance is stagnant right now, mainly due to it being cold this year, and also because development pressure has hurt the parking situation around Baum. The parking crunch needs to be addressed. We have people selling $20 parking for Thursday evening games. It's a PITA to go to Baum unless you block off a couple of hours to get there early and tailgate.

TBF, everyone on campus is at either the Cardinals or Royals baseball game every time Mizzou is playing.

oh they're never going to do it at this point. They're building an expansion to the baseball operations building behind right field now.

We haven’t had a good crowd in any of the games I’ve watched, even when we were 10-2.

I'm hoping the new expansion/improvements will help get that % Cap higher. We have a smaller facility that was nice in 1999. It's still nice but when everyone around you is spending $$$ you'll get left behind.

Bama fans, specifically students just DGAS about baseball. Brand new stadium, new coach, student population of +35,000 and the damn students won't even drag their asses up the street to a game in absolutely beautiful weather? WTF?

Too busy worrying about bathroom rights and traveling to Trump protests.

Just win and they show up. Softball and gymnastics routinely set NCAA attendance records.

Baseball used to be top 5 in attendance. 12 years of mediocre play has eroded the casual fanbase. Only the die hard show up now.

Fans from 95-00 were spoiled and it made drawing 5,000 a game easy. Looking back we took Jim Wells for granted when he was winning. That said he set the program back 15 years by not allowing Moore to pursue Pierce at Troy and instead refusing to leave unless Gaspard got the job.

Also I really don't like how they stripped Sewell Thomas in order to save money on the project. I would have much rather they moved the baseball field to out by the amphitheater on the river. They half assed the project for the sake of saving money. I'm afraid Byrne is about to do the same with Coleman.

Bama has also been in a pretty bad stretch lately. People supported under Wells. They just got tired of losing after him.

The university also had a great thing going with the right field ragers, and one guy fricked it up.

More impressive as it was literally snowing this morning and was about 20 degrees last night. Normally it would be in early to mid spring weather but Lexington seems still stuck in winter.

If I'm correct, a student threw a beer bottle onto the field during the Tennessee game.

One of the best times I've had was standing in like for 2 hours with hundreds of students for the opening series vs Maryland. It was awesome, and now it's basically gone.
