Y'all are going to live off that one play longer than Ole Miss lives of Archie and the 60's.
Nah, They just covered up their "Punt Bama Punt" stickers with "Got a second?" stickers
They only go about 40 years off of each play.

Had just told my dad "Well, we've done everything humanly possible to give this game away. Now watch the kick get blocked and returned for a TD."
Had any one of about 20 happened (been executed correctly) before that, it never would have gotten to that point. I was already ticked off before the kick even happened.

West corner of the North End Zone, Jordan-Hare.
Davis was running right at me.

Replying to my own response, but I couldn't believe what was happening, but my buddy standing beside me, who is a HS football coach in Alabama, said "He gone!" as soon as Davis came out of the EZ and made his first cut.

I was in a federal prison in Atlanta. I just vet $100 Alabama was going to win. I didn't have a $100 just knew the tide would roll so no problems. It cost me a few teeth, 45 staples and 200 stitches

In Auburn arena, the second best place to be in all the world at that moment in time.

We went to the "prayer in Jordan Hare" game in Auburn against UGA. I couldnt get tix for the Iron bowl, but was determined to come. So I went and hung out at our tailgate along with a couple of other people and a couple of bama friends.
When the Kick six happened, I will never forget the ROAR from the stadium. We knew something had happened... but due to TV delay, our HDTV satellite set up didnt show it til a few seconds later. It apparently was the same with various delays all over campus. it was like explosions. When the reality hit whomevers party was watching that individual feed, the crowd went fricking NUTS.
I recall one girl who was with us, who was a gump, but like us...no ticket but watching with us... we were nice and diplomatic all game. but then when the shite hit the fan, we all went crazy including her. She was by herself and just started cussing us and crying. No grudge held at all. that was some weird shite.
What thrilled me after the fact was that it looked in Auburn like it had snowed 2 feet in TP after the game etc. I have never seen so much joy in one place ever. that includes winning the NC. Beating Bama, but especially rippping their arrogant hearts out, is like an Auburn orgasm with a cream pie ending.

The greatest finish in the history of college football, and I'm pretty sure I won't see anything top it as long as I'm alive.
No shite, being an Auburn student from 2010-2013 might be the possible window ever. Your freshman year you get Cam. Your senior year you get those two incredible finishes in the final two games, plus another national championship appearance. Unreal.

In my living room, in complete disbelief. Not a fun time. My best friend said i ended up getting pretty smashed later with all my family by the fire outside. Luckily I was not alone in that pursuit. Not a great Thanksgiving weekend, all in all.

Of course I didn't expect the return. But I was very hopeful we would make the long kick, because I was convinced we would lose in OT. Our kicker wasn't reliable that day, and auburn had momentum most of the 4th quarter.
I would have made the same decision, and I would make the same decision again. I would just make sure to put a couple guys with speed on the ends of the line, and have a defensive strategy in case of a return.
But I felt then, and still feel, that we would have likely lost in OT and the long kick was the right call.
