Arkansas fans want to know why other SEC teams have so much trouble with lsu?

They're not that good.

I think it has more to do with at that point in the season Arkansas has to throw everything at LSU just to salvage the season and at the same time on the other side LSU has already fell short of its goals so the Arkansas game is pointless in the mind of our players. Motivation issue.

It's right after we play bama and LSU is depleted. It's like battling a preschool class after taking the ACT.

This excuse and the "it's right after Bama" excuse are both incredibly pathetic excuses.

What strikes me as odd is not that one LSU fan would offer this as an excuse, but, rather, SO MANY LSU fans offer this as an excuse.

And what's more disturbing is the these folks who offer this as an excuse seem to accept this excuse as a perfectly good reason/excuse for getting whipped by the Hogs!

LSU football fans. Please stop embarrassing yourselves. You may not realize it but, Hog fans are laughing their asses off every time some LSU fan offers this excuse as justification. This excuse is something that you'd expect to hear from a fanbase in Pee Wee Football League ball, not SEC football.

If your team is so soft and weak that it allows one outstanding team (Alabama) to inflict TWO losses instead of one, just do yourselves a favor and go play in Tulane's league. That way you won't have to worry about any opponent beating you two weeks in a row.

Stop accepting mediocre effort and results, LSU fans. It's disgraceful and unworthy of you . . . at least, I HOPE that it's unworthy of you.

Demand excellence and results. Reject excuses and excuse-making.

Everybody have a great weekend.

Is this like asking why Ole Miss beats Alabama? I mean, yeah, you've done that twice in a row, but does that account for 50 years of incompetence?

That's happened twice since 2000.

So Arkansas is salvaging it's season and LSU has given up?

In all seriousness, Arkansas fans circled one game on their calendar for decades in the SWC. That was Texas and we no longer played Texas after switching to the SEC. Tennessee was the game fans circled after the switch, but then we stopped playing Tennessee yearly and LSU started churning out good teams around the same time. Since we already had a forced rivalry, fans turned their attention to LSU and all disrespect from LSU fans gave it some meaning. I do think we try harder then LSU, but I also think a lack of interest is an awful excuse for losing games.

Since 2000, when Saban arrived in Baton Rouge, LSU leads the series 9-7. Six of those games were decided by 3 points or less and two were decided in OT. Since 2010, the series is tied and the average game score favors Arkansas. If you remove the 11 game losing streak Arkansas suffered between 1930-55 to LSU, the series is a respectable 22-26. Furthermore, LSU and Arkansas met once during the 30 best years in Arkansas football, with LSU denying Arkansas a probable national championship in '65.

I think its because La-Ark is a heated rivalry between two border states....I remember the 1970s when Bert Jones was around and the schools were playing each other. LSU also has Ole Miss as a rival and obviously some intense games have been played.

UF has UGA as its border rival and since 1990 it has been rather lopsided....but the 70s-80s were painful for us overall.

Rivalry is what college football is all about and we all want September to come quickly.

Agreed much better in that game. Winning a head to head game is simple as that, the better team won.

However it does not mean the team that year is better. Example Texas Tech beat Arkansas, LSU easily beat Texas Tech.

Arkansas beat LSU 2 years in a row and plain and simple had the better team that day.

No argument there

I think LSU has the better team, winning the head to head does not move you ahead of that teams overall record and ranking.

Ole Miss beat BAMA this year and BAMA won the national title.

Arkansas beat Ole Miss this year and Ole Miss beat BAMA this year but this does not make Arkansas better than BAMA or Ole Miss

You can play this scenario out all day long, Hog fans have bragging rights 2 years in a row and they have LSU's number right now. I have a Hog buddy who says they have won 5 of the last 9 games and this is true, during this time span LSU has two BCS title game appearances with 1 national title. I will take that

twice in a row, and three in a row come September. arse kickings from Ole Miss for the Crimson Tide for the forseeable future, in fact...yet you chose to bring up the past.

Pretty much this. Plus our offense pounding the shite out of them and making them quit. Granted, their game before us is tough, but you have a week to get over it. Weak arse excuse at best.

You do realize it's not used as "justification?" I don't know if you missed November, but LSU fans wanted Miles fired specifically because he cannot get his team back up after Alabama, and he hasn't beaten Alabama recently. If LSU fans were "justifying" it, we wouldn't be so critical of Miles about it.

Here's the deal, there are such things as trap games. These typically come after highly contested games that take a lot out of you. That's why most teams schedule a North South East Western University after a huge rivalry game.

Remember what happened last time LSU beat Alabama? LSU mopped the floor with your #3 ranked Hogs.

Arkansas is a trap game, simple as that.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make with this statement. does this profound revelation somehow make the arse kickings Arkansas routinely administers to your team (and mine, to be fair) less relevant? don't be a tiger fan that acts like a crimson tide fan when they lose...LSU doesn't have the clout and respect of Bama, and cant get away with it.
