I don't understand the "Alabama Dynasty"

Let's be real. If my boys won in 11' then we would have 3 and y'all would have 3 in the last 20 years.. So how good is our dynasty ? How good is Florida's? USC? All these teams have 2 or 3.. I don't get why it gets talked about so much.. Is this a "what have you done for me lately" world these days?

You seriously don't see anything special about 4 of the last 7 national titles? On top of that Bama was one quarter from playing for it in 2008, One play from probably playing for it in 2013 and made the playoff in 2014. Only semi down year of the last 8 was 2010 and Bama still won 10 games and finished in the top 10.

See..these things don't go off of what MIGHT have happened but what did happen.
With that said, we've won 4 of the last 7. That's what they mean by dynasty. Not dominating over 20 years but a span of time where one team is dominant. 90 yankees, 60's packers, 70's steelers, 80's 49ers. That's where we get labeled a dynasty.

In this case, the dynasty talk is based on number of national championships in a comparative amount of time. 3 championships in 4 years has been achieved only 3 times in history since the poll era began in 1936...4 championships in 7 years has only occurred twice, only once since the start of the "modern era" in 1965...
