Deshaun Watson vs Cam Newton

There's no way I can compare these two without being biased, but I think Watson is better than college Cam. He's more accurate. Cam was more or less unstoppable on getting 6 yards out of that read option, but Watson is more explosive and can throw pinpoint passes on the run.
But recognizing my bias, what are some thoughts by people who neither love nor hate Cam?

You're an idiot, then.

Congratulations on spelling "you're" correctly. Most inarticulate assholes struggle with that.

I'd take Cam. More unstoppable = better.

Cam was better, but I'd prefer that Deshaun was better.

Cam is a better runner because he is just as fast, just as elusive, and a lot stronger and more powerful. Watson was more consistently accurate over the course of an entire season, but Cam's accuracy could be just as good in certain individual games

It's a tough comparison because they're so radically different. Cam was a bigger, faster, strong Tim Tebow who could actually throw the ball.
Deshaun is a better passer, but he doesn't have the physical tools (read: size) that Cam does. Plus, when Cam came to Auburn, that offense was still cutting edge, no one had any answer for the zone read in 2010. When you have a quarterback like Cam running it on top of that, it's a recipe for remarkable success.

Cam Newton: 66%
Deshaun Watson: 68%
Not a big difference in accuracy. I'd rather take the better runner in Cam. His ability to convert on 3rd and short is invaluable.

cam beat the most talented bama team under saban and went on to win a national championship and a heisman.

Cam has his ring.... and while Watson is a baller, he hasn't won the big one yet. If he wins the Heisman and the NC next season, then we can talk.

Oh yeah, anybody who thinks Cam only had a bunch of short of runs needs to go back and watch the 45 or 50 yard run he had against LSU. He literally dodged tackles from half the LSU defense and then literally dragged Patrick Peterson the final 10 yards into the endzone. One of the most amazing runs I have seen any player make at any level of football

You are all comparing senior season Cam to sophomore season Watson. Yeah, Cam played previously in JC but Watson could end up being better next year (although I don't know how).

Watson because he wasn't a professional athlete.

That is funny coming from a bammer considering your most recent heisman winner posted a picture of a 40 thousand dollar Dodge Charger he claimed was his own on his Twitter account last year

It's really not a tough comparison. Radically different would be Connor Cook or Jake Coker and Cam Newton. Not Watson and Newton. Sure, there are differences. But not radical by any stretch.

LOL. I know you are trolling but some of you forget how dominate Cam Newton was

The only thing I see in common is they're both black and play quarterback in a spread offense.
Their games aren't the same at all. Deshaun can't do what Cam does running the ball, and at the time he was in college, Cam couldn't make all of the throws Deshaun can.

He wasn't there long enough.
