Cam had twice as much experience when he played at AU

I wouldnt say 1 year in juco is twice as much as a partial starting season in an actual P5 conference. There is a lot experienced developed with two offseasons and another partial season on the books with the same team

Cam was missing receivers all over the field in the national title against fricking Oregon. Watson was going up against one of the greatest defenses in history and threw and ran all over them.

Bama in 2010 had 9 new starters on D and they were ruining Cam's arse for all the first half till the hail mary.

Cam also couldn't put Oregon away after a big lead.

Watson would have run for 300 and passed for 400 on Oregon.

Watson major college stats:

Games: 23
Compl: 426
Attempts: 628
Yards: 5575

Rushes: 270
Yards: 1305

Total TDS: 66

Cam

Games: 20
Compl: 191
Attempts: 292
Yards: 2908

Rushes: 285
Yards: 1586

Total TDs: 54

Watson has played in more college games and attempted 336 more passes than Cam. He has taken almost twice as many snaps in college not counting JUCO as well.

They're both good. Watson is a better passer though. To this day, Cam has a problem with sailing throws. Watson drops it into the bread basket with ease

Thanks for the legitimate input. As I said, it's hard for me to judge fairly, so thanks for the perspective.

And thanks for the dozen or so children who reminded me "You're an idiot" or "You're so butthurt" is the typical response to any football related question. Bless your hearts.

Thanks for picking the game where Cam had a hurt back with spasms for the 2-4th quarters and played hurt.

Seriously, his accuracy was a big knock coming out. He missed like 10 straight throws against air at the combine.

Cam didn't need to do much in the title game, but he was 20/34 for 265 yards and two tds. Not terrible son.

Additionally, if you want to cherry pick, I'll give you the SEC championship game where Cam threw for over 300 yards and had 4 TDS IN THE FIRST HALF.

Watson is as good of a passer as I have seen, and he is sneaky fast. Runs very smooth, almost like Vince Young.

With that being said, Cam was unstoppable. He had skills and physical tools that are one in a million. I would take Cam.

Lol at bammer having one of the greatest defenses of all time. You just faced a bunch of crappy offenses. If you go by point given up per game, you weren't that much better than Auburn

Auburn held Moo State to 17 points
A&M to 10 points
Georgia to 20 points
Arkansas to 24 points in regulation
Ole Miss to 27 points

Bammer didn't do much better against those teams and Auburn's defense was far from being one of the greatest of all time

It's actually a fairly salient point, especially when you consider how much of a turd our offense was. Held bama to a relatively low point total as well, especially without the full retard 30yd swing from flags.

This is not a good comparison. We had an off game I think, making Watson look better than he is.

Cam Newton is a freak. Like, Lebron James Physical Specimen freak.

And I say that as someone who can't stand the 6 month/180k Auburn Creed Intern.

Both QB's are dynamic. I'd personally take Cam, he could fall forward and get you 3 yards every time. Watson is a great passer and can put a ball in the WRs hands on the run while under pressure.

Alabama basically played a whopping two offenses that could block, throw, and catch effectively. They gave up 43 and 40 points in those two games. Keep convincing yourself this was one of the greatest defenses of all time

There are a lot of analysts all over the country saying this Bama D was special, sorry but I'm gonna take their word for it over yours.
