Why? If he's a true believer that's the last thing he should do.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
If you have any kind of decent computer at all you could go download the Dolphin emulator which will play GameCube and Wii games. It can actually make the games look much better than they ever did on the original systems. There are USB adapters you can pick up for the controllers. It's also 100% legal to own and operate. Getting the games off the disc to use on the PC can be a hassle though if you don't have experience doing it.

No way Bama loses 3 straight and FSU is exponentially more talented than the Rebels, Ole Miss goes 2-2 but the dawgs play them tough.

More talented? Yes. Exponentially? That's a bit of a reach. We've attracted a pretty decent amount of talent with our all-you-can-eat cheddar bay biscuit program.

Having a good returning starting quarterback in the first game of the season could pay dividends. Florida State will be the favorite and rightfully so; but I wouldn't be shocked if we won.

An NBA roster has literally a 5th the amount of players as an NFL Roster. Of course there are less players in basketball that stood out over time. Peyton was a top 10 player in the NFL for probably 80% of his NFL seasons.

Jordan was THE greatest player in the NBA in every year in which he played from around 1988 to 1998, and it wasn't even particularly close. I can write out his list of accomplishments if you like; but it's going to take awhile to do if you want me to do it.

In Jordan's years with the Bulls half his teammates were perrenial all stars. So you argument about only winning with good teams is meh

You don't know what you're talking about. Scottie Pippen was the only player that Michael Jordan played with that was a perennial all-star. Horace Grant made it in 93-94 as a replacement selection and BJ Armstrong made it once in the same year. 93-94 was the first year Jordan was retired for the first time.

Did Jordan win with good teams? Absolutely. He also won the title in every year he played a complete season in the 90's and never lost in the NBA Finals, and was also the best player in every NBA Finals series in which he played. Compare Peyton to other quarterbacks. No one in any team sport in the modern era is going to compare favorably to MJ. (Edit: Aside from Gretzky; but hockey isn't my sport so I wouldn't be able to do a good comparison.)

You cannot tell me that Jordan was a significantly better basketball player than Peyton was a football player

Of course I can. Peyton is a top 3-5 player all-time at his position. Jordan is the greatest player of all time in his sport. There was a decade where Jordan won the NBA title every year in which he played a complete season.

Peyton Manning's basketball equivalent is Oscar Robertson. Put up great numbers, won a couple titles when he got a good team around him, and is top 3-5 all-time at his position.

Hardest workout in the first P90X, imo

It hurt to sit down for a week after doing P90X plyo for the first time. Learning how to do controlled falls on to the shitter was key to survival.
You're right. Hitting a big league curve ball would be pretty much impossible to do on a regular basis (better than .200) for someone who didn't have years of experience batting.

For the record I don't think elite baseball players would be much more successful at football and basketball; but baseball would be the hardest to pick up and play at a professional level.
These aren't in 1-5 order but the teams I think will be in the top 5 of each category.

Rushing
Alabama
LSU
Arkansas
Tennessee
Georgia

Passing
Ole Miss
A&M
Alabama
Kentucky
Tennessee

Total Offense

Rushing Defense

Passing Defense

Vanderbilt

Total Defense

I don't think Vanderbilt will win a lot of games; but teams won't have to score a lot of points to beat them and probably won't throw much when they get the lead.

This is the answer to OP's question. You can't argue with this.

Counter his strawman with your ad hominem. This debate is going places.

So because she is broke that makes it ok to sexually assault her?

No, obviously poor people can't be sexually assaulted, because you know, money and stuff.

She is not a victim. She is a liar. Just like the women in Duke lacrosse and UVA frat rape.

Clay Travis needs to back away from his keyboard and go do something else. He comes across like an obsessed fanboy.

Why didn't he survive the first rough patch?

His entire tenure was a rough patch minus the one eight win season. It was obvious the team had quit on him in his last Egg Bowl. They made the right move getting rid of him.

Great Breakdown of What's Happening

quote:

-Obviously, we kick things off with the older gentleman standing up in defiance right in front of Henderson. Not sure what he said to Henderson, but that guy wasn't having anymore of the tomfoolery.
-The guy in the white polo is big-time, just smiling the entire time. He loves it.
-Jerry Garcia-looking guy on press row. He's clapping, smiling, really enjoying the scene.
-The crew of double-middle finger guys. They're forever best friends.
-The guy who rips his hat off. He was so heated he just couldn't take it anymore.
-Now we get to the sleepers: To kick things off, check out my man next to Auburn pajamas girl. He's got the creepy sideways grin, like he digs Marshall Henderson's attitude, but can't have his friends find out.
-Speaking of Auburn pajamas girl, she looks out of place. And is also terrified by the flying object to her left.
-What is that flying object? No one really knows. Could be a Fathead, could be a cardboard cutout, could be an umbrella. But the blonde girl reacts like it's a head. A real one.
-White hat fellow. Waving his hands, yelling "Come on, come on, come on!" to Henderson. His flailing hands and sideways shuffle steals the show for a bit.
-The guy right in the middle who emphatically sticks a middle finger at Henderson -- and then tears it right back down. Everything he did was 100 percent.
-The curly-haired kid in the orange shirt. He gives the fingers, claps two times (as if to get loose) -- and then goes back with the fingers.
-Kid in the gray hoodie to the left. It kind of looks like he sneezes as the GIF starts -- but bounces back extraordinarily quickly to join in the ballyhoo.
-What about the girl in the upper right corner? She yells some profanity, and then goes tumbling forward, either getting pushed or falling from the momentum of her yelling.
-And yes, the older, older gentleman in the front row just seems dismayed by the entire scene. And probably this analysis of it.
quote:

dude if you count Bryant's worst seasons you have to count Saban's worst season???

2007 counts

I'd argue that you could throw out the first season for both and it would be fair.

MSU is not even close to the radar because we don't cherry pick top recruits across the country. In fact we don't sign top 10 recruiting classes.

The recruits that have options would be smart to sit out this fall and go to school somewhere else.

It's been hard on us, what with losing to you guys 20-3 in the last game, having an alcoholic head coach, and having three quarterbacks transfer out... oh wait, that's all A&M. Set manageable goals, like scoring a touchdown against us next year.

Unfortunately, they'll be climbing back in the hole, though, shouldn't be a culture shock to them.

Your coach is 13-26 against his own division and 1-3 against Hugh Freeze. I could go on. Do you really want to continue your "winning culture" lecture as a Mississippi State fan?
