Per ESPN: "[ND athletics director] Swarbrick said a priority moving forward is trying to add a Southeastern Conference opponent to the schedule. He said that's difficult, however, because Notre Dame only has one open spot in its schedule for a road game and that is filled through the 2020 season."
Which SEC teams wants to kick some more Notre Dame arse?

I would love to see Auburn step up, FWIW.

If he really wanted to play the SEC why would they jump in bed with the ACC?
I would love to break a piece off of notre dame.

I'm sure they do. We tried during the Tub years, but they turned us down. They're trying to expand their recruiting down south.

Better hope Nick Saban and Les Miles aren't around by 2020

Notre Dame has a death wish playing any of the Big 6.

It's been fun reading about them and the SEC
last year prior to the BCSNCG. LINK

I bet they do. It's getting harder for them to recruit in the south and they need the exposure.

We've played them 8 times in the last 30 years or so. South Bend is a great trip.

Auburn and georgia tried to schedule them for a home and home in the mid 2000s and ND said no. ND would not travel for the game.

Hell no.. not until they call us and agree to play a game on our turf.

Home and home or that shite doesn't fly. ND isn't above anyone in this conference to demand just a game in South Bend and no return trip.

Sadly, they have kicked the SEC a good bit:

W-L SCHOOL
2-0 Vanderbilt
1-0 Florida
3-1 South Carolina
5-2 Alabama
3-2 Texas A&M
1-1 Ole Miss
2-2 Missouri
4-4 Tennessee
5-5 LSU
0-1 Georgia
26-18 TOTAL

They used to have a small thing going with LSU (played like every 3 years for 30 years...which is a LOT considering how they are generally tough to schedule--heck, they even just dropped long-time rival Michigan from their schedule, ending decades of tradition). Otherwise, other than maybe Tennessee, they usually won't play SEC teams (well, other than in bowl games, but they can't control who they draw in those).

If Notre Dame wanted to get its act together, get their heads out of their asses, catch up with the times at their stadium, they could easily be one of the top schools in this conference.

Only a blind person can't see the only reason why they want to play SEC schools is to get more exposure down here for recuriting.

The move from BIG to ACC schedule was just so they can get better ground in recruiting in the south. They are a self-serving University.

I hope no team schedules them. God knows they'll be targeting Kentucky, Vandy, Arkansas, Miss State and Ole Miss.
