SEC needs to Clean Up & Move Offices

The problem is when a controversy arises between BAMA & Auburn and another SEC Team, there always seems to be a BAMA or Auburn alum or related person in the key decision making position. (LSU Auburn non pass interference call, Peterson non interception call, Bama schedule etc)
The SEC should not put people with such relationships in a position to make those decisions. If there is a conflict they should be removed or at least an explanation of the decision. For example how was the bridge schedule determined? Not we don’t have cameras.
You can’t predict future teams is a ridicules explanation. A year out you don’t know Ky is not as good as Ga.?
The SEC is too big now for this BS. It needs to move from Birmingham. There are another major, large urban city in the SEC where there are people not affiliated with SEC teams. For example Houston, (probably has more people than all of Alabama), Miami, (probably has more people than all of Alabama), Dallas (probably has more people than all of Alabama), Orlando, Atlanta, Tampa, Jacksonville. Besides these are major media outlets.
It is easier to get to SEC media days if it is in those cities than Birmingham.

Still technically an SEC city, but I say Nashville. People living and working there are from all over.

Memphis, a nice mix of SEC alums live there. They'd keep an eye on each other.

So moving from the "south/center" of the geographical map of the SEC to something on the geographical edge like Houston, Miami or Jville makes it easier to get to?

Exactly how will moving the SEC Headquarters from B'ham to wherever change things if the same SEC officials just move there. The problem is not where the headquarters is, it's the bafoons making the decisions.

I agree about the baffons. But don't you think that having all the Bama & Au press, social pressure eg friends talking about them, etc would not effect someone who is not Bama or Au related.
Can you imagine overturning the Peterson call and taking your kid to school on Monday.
Also you would get more diverse people (non Bama & Au) applying for jobs, even secretaries.
How many people from Houston, NYC, LA, or Atl want to move to B'ham. Your selection pool is smaller. Thus you get Mark Womack. If the office was somewhere else maybe you would get an NFL office scheduler

I completely agree, the current situation is corrupt. I've read stats on AU and UA getting flagged less by referees and the SEC scheduling is a joke. This needs to be discussed on the SEC Rant too.

Well of course a UA fan wouldn't want anything to change.

If love to see some STATS!
I guess it doesn't matter AU was one of the more penalized teams in the league the past couple of years...
Also , somebody find the clip of the AU-Vandy game a while back where Vandy got a TD when the receiver completely dropped the ball. Like the ball landed 10 feet away from him.
