re: Here’s what I know 11-11

Jesus, we have some clueless dumbasses on this site.

I will take my medicine and admit I’m apparently one of them. Now, can you tell me what ties they are referencing in regard to Kiffin?
quote:

How did this post get nothing but upvotes despite being blatantly wrong?

He had an undefeated regular season by Year 2 and a completely undefeated season with a national championship by year 3.

There is a difference in “Undefeated Season” and “Undefeated Regular Season”. He was 12-2 in his second season.

He was undefeated in his 3rd season (I would argue well into his Bama tenure), but that was not a common Saban occurrence (which was the point of the question in the OP).

Saban’s mastery is figuring out how to win championships.
quote:

Of course they do.

Maybe, maybe not. Saban didn’t have any undefeated seasons until well into his tenure at Bama.

quote:

They also win the NC in 06 and 11

And maybe a lot more than that. The biggest thing Saban would have had going for him at LSU is that he wouldn’t have had to coach against Saban at Alabama.
In general, the less attractive the job, the faster they try to hire somebody. They don’t want to risk nobody being there if they wait too long to pull the trigger.
quote:

Dan Campbell himself said he believes he’ll be a head in the future. Look at his coaching staff. Ben Johnson for the bears, Aaron Glenn for the jets.

Until KS shows he can be a dominating DC for more than a dozen games, he has no pedigree or resume to fall back on.

The fact that his current head coach says he will one day be a head coach is not a reason to make KS a HC.

The fact that his current HC has other people from his coaching tree that have become head coaches is not a reason to make KS a HC.

He’s poised to be nfl head coach in a couple years

He’s been a defensive coordinator for 5 minutes. What makes you think he’ll be a HC?

No

quote:

If not, why does everyone insist that he is??

If by “everyone” you mean the four dumbest posters on The Rant then I would say, “I don’t know why “everyone” is saying that”.

The SEC may demand LSU accept a bowl invitation

Or what?
I agree with 99% of people on planet earth that he should not be the HC (and it had nothing to do with last night).

It is silly and simple-minded to expect anybody to step in and in 2 weeks undo what the previous coaching staff screwed up over the last 3 years.
quote:

Just passing on what I heard. Like I said, personally, I don’t think they end up with any of the three.

Your little birdie is probably your drinking buddy. You guys share your silly thoughts with each other and then report to the outside world that “you were told by someone…” or “a little birdie told me…”.

You then expect the outside world to treat your breaking news as legitimate. Hell, you don’t even think it’s legitimate.

This is a sad cry for attention and you can get help. Repeat after me:

I’m good enough,
I’m smart enough,
and doggonit,
people like me.

TLDR

In this case, TLDR stands for too little didn’t read.

WTF, could they make that type any smaller?

quote:

If I had a dollar for every time I read “they see him in practice.” Well how about the fricking game where’s he’s scored TD on 100% of drives dumbass It’s beyond stupid

Yea, bc you want the absolute smallest sample size possible.
Yea, but did you see the last run of the game. That tells you everything you need to know.

What aspects of our team do you expect to improve over the last few games?

Effort

2021 Cycle
Dan Lanning was hired by Oregon
Mike Elko was hired by Duke
Kalen DeBoer was hired by Washington Brent Venables was hired by Oklahoma Marcus Freeman was promoted by ND Sonny Dykes was hired by TCU
Rhett Lashlee was hired by SMU
Joey McGuire was hired by Texas Tech I’m not including Cristobal because LSU was never going to beat out Miami.

If any name on that list had been hired in 2021, this place would have been apoplectic. The shouts of, “Woody can’t get anybody good so he took a gamble on a no name coach” would have reverberated from the mountain tops (if we had mountains).
quote:

They'll bet on anything. Just ask the NBA.

Show me the betting site or sports book where they will actually take a bet on this (a link would be helpful).
You say, “break out the all black uniforms” as if we have some all black uniforms ready to go in the back closet just waiting to be used when the perfect moment presents itself.
quote:

Apparently the betting odds shifted today

Pretty sure you can't actually bet on any of this. It's just somebodies (semi) educated guess.
quote:

By that logic we will lose a close game but get shut out?

I think half of that prediction is very likely

BK, Nuss and Joe Sloan all have the same agent. That should never happen.

How exactly do you propose to fix it? Are you going to forbid one (or more) of them from choosing their own representation? And if so, which of the three get to choose their agent and which have to choose somebody else?
