re: I love JD, but are we a playoff team with him?
Posted by Broketec on 12/5/22 at 6:39 pm
JD arguably had a better 1st season at LSU than Burrow did. Did you know we had a playoff QB in Burrow before the bowl game in 2018? I don't think many people did.
re: Jameis leaves practice early, Allen says he has a leg

Any news on if this happened indoors or in the rain? Allen deliberately moved the team outside to practice in the rain after starting practice indoors. Seems like a dumbass move especially if it could have resulted in a non-contact injury on a sloppy surface.
I get needing to know how to play in the rain but...

re: after this I’ll shutup about the RPI. when does the 5 seed get to have an RPI of 22? A&M

They already indicated that SEC record doesn’t matter when they chose 15-15 Florida over 18-12 Arkansas
I'd say that they made a statement that RPI and conference performance both matter.
If thats not the case, which is it? What's your perfect solution?
Is RPI king when UF gets placed above Arkansas or is RPI worthless when A&M gets a top 8 seed?
Or is it that every LSU fan just has sour grapes and rationality goes out the window?
re: New Project Veritas:Twitter Source Leaks Internal Slack Channel RECONFIRMING Shadowbanning

Don't confuse shadowbanning with not getting reactions on social media because you're posting uninteresting stuff.
Its cute when people think that they are so influential that Zuck and Co. are scared and out to shadowban you. You're not that important.

There’s now way to really differentiate it.
Yes there is. Baseball somehow figured that out a long time ago. Its like assigning errors.
If a 3rd baseman throws a bad ball to 1st base, the error is on the 3rd baseman - the QB in your scenario.
If a 3rd baseman throws a perfect ball and the 1st baseman flubs it, the error is on the 1st baseman - the WR in your scenario.

Who gives a shite?
You're an old dude upset about a lack media respect coming from sports outlets that don't care about you because you perceive this nebulous idea of respect should be bestowed upon 20 year old kids who don't even care that you're alive. Your feelings on this matter are clearly a priority to exactly zero people.

He's better at being more irresponsible.
He's good at spending like he's playing with house money and signing checks for people who apparently don't need to be interviewed.
Sarcasm [OFF] - He's been a shite show.

There's no reason to believe #2 is even possible if #1 ever happened.
Firing Les may have kept Aleva here or gotten rid of him faster, in which Woodward would never have made his way to Baton Rouge.

Both.
But Will Wade is one of the worst second half coaches in the game right now.
There's a reason LSU blows double digits second half leads like its something they're supposed to do.

re: What If: Trump did not nominate Jeff Sessions for Attorney General?

If that's the case - he still wasn't appointed because he was the best man for the job.
re: What If: Trump did not nominate Jeff Sessions for Attorney General?

I argued with a colleague, at the time Sessions was nominated, that he was a likely choice for AG, not only for what Trump suspected was a skill set worthy of the job, but also because it was probably the easiest seat (at the time) to be guaranteed to be refilled by a republican.
I still believe the Sessions appointment was a strategic attempt to simply back-fill a republican seat with another republican and he wasn't appointed entirely because he thought he was the best man for the job.

re: If the Astros win Tuesday does Bregman get MVP?
Posted by Broketec on 10/30/17 at 8:58 am
Springer and Carrera are having a better WS than Bregman, but not by much.
He's clearly in the mix of the only 3 who are up for it, barring Verlander pitching a no hitter or something crazy to win game 6.
If Bregman has a 2-5 1 RBI performance and Springer and Carrera match him, Bregs doesn't win it, but he's close enough that he's 1 big swing away from locking it up, but so are the other 2.

re: Hidden Traps in AT&T Next plans?

If you don't have insurance, you're as on the hook, yes.
On T-Mobile, Jump program is similar. New phone once a year, return the old one etc.
Difference is, Jump requires insurance on the device. So when I broke my Note 3, I had to shell out $175 for a refurb replacement. Had I not had insurance, I would have been billed monthly for the $19/mo for the remainder of the life of the financing (2 years) even if I didn't have the device.
I'm not sure if AT&T requires insurance but I'd imagine if they didn't and you broke or lost the device, you're going to be paying per month for the life of the fiance. They won't charge you one lump sum unless you cancel your service.
My wife is on Next and when I got her the phone they told us that if the phone is lost or damaged, we're going to be billed monthly until we:
A) pay the deductible to replace it and return the damaged device(which goes down as the phone gets older) B) don't replace it and pay off the finance charges per month.

USB docking stations for laptops
Posted by Broketec on 4/15/15 at 2:49 pm
Anyone use or is familiar with these?
I've been reading reviews on them for a while. I need multi-monitor access for my laptop at work but I was issued a toshiba satellite rather than a friendly lenovo or dell that can snap right in to a traditional docking station.
A few i've looked at have their own built in graphics accelerators to handle multiple outputs but considering its connected to my machine via USB, Im skeptical there will be mouse or keyboard lag between input and output on the screen.
Anybody have any first hand feedback using something like this?
Example of a USB docking station
Amazon has some much better priced universal stations that I was considering.
