It is important to find expert opinions and share them for SEC Rant discussion.

Eric Dickerson helped provide information to Ricky Seals Jones recently.

quote:

"Ricky's a receiver," Dickerson said. "Texas A&M has coach (Kevin) Sumlin, who is committed to throwing the ball and running a pro-style offense. I've got NFL friends who went to LSU, who love LSU football, but even they told me a receiver today should go to Texas A&M over LSU."

I wish we all had enough football expertise to know if Dickerson is correct. But most of us don't, so we should probably just take his word for it.

Dickerson is a badass but guys are going to come in here and say he is full of shite. He's right though, it's like saying if you're a DB you should go to LSU over A&M.

If 2009-2011 taught us anything, he's right. Until LSU proves it can field a competent vertical passing game, a receiver should go to a lot of schools over LSU.

ED just feels guilty about the free car I think

Whatever a receiver does at A&M for the next few years will be credited to Johnny Football instead of the receiver.

LSU has been putting quality receivers into the NFL regularly for a decade now

Have you watched LSU's passing game since Flynn left?

I wouldnt 100% disagree with that but it's not like LSU has had problems getting receivers drafted.

Poor old Russell Shepard could have benefitted from this awesome knowledge from Dickerson.

He said, she said.

Doesn't matter anyways. We've locked up our solid WRs for this year and will next year too. Don't be jelly.

I wonder what he told Ricky was the key to beating LSU since, you know, that didn't happen and all.

Since the quote above is not a complete sentence, maybe Eric should have advised him on where to get the best education.

We can only hope for CC to be hired and come in and change things. We seem to be headed in the right direction.

You don't have to be a football expert to figure this one out. In fact, it's save to say now that Les Miles doesn't qualify as a football expert.
