I wanted to throw JC on a wide framed sig pic spanking Chuck Norris, or anything else creative with the photo. It's more box shaped, so it could be thrown on any wide rectangular backdrop.

This is my opinion, so take it as that:

Say you started (with a little money) and "picked stocks" over a 20 year period. I would feel safe to say that 9 times out of 10, the investor would have been better off indexing the S&P.

No link, no picture I can post, just some good hard looks into "professional stock picks" and watching amateur investors make bad decisions left and right.

Every time you think about buying on earnings for whatever reason, just realize that there is someone on the flip-side with their own justification as to why they are selling.

You sound like my best friend in high school. I remember having the conversation...

"You don't need a college edu to get ahead in life"

... and though he is partially correct, he is without a college degree working as a bartender while I was able to land a very nice starter position at my new firm.

For the current market environment, risks are present as always, but I don't think I've been this confident in stocks for the mid-term (not greedy, just confident). I want to limit trying to time the market as much as possible, but I rarely buy a hot stock.

Timing the market on re-entry proves difficult. I think you would be hard-pressed to say that buy-and-hold through isn't the right way to go. Especially on a risk adjusted basis.

Anyone have anymore thorough historical evidence supporting/denying the correlation of "seasonal trends".

I lean towards saying there isn't a sigificant correlation, but I've been wrong and foolish before.
