Would you rather your team make the final 4 or win a college baseball natty?

Final 4 with a shot to win or a guaranteed natty in baseball. Just curious how many die hard baseball fans we have on this board. For me basketball is/should be clear cut #2 sport priority over baseball. As a Carolina fan that final 4 run was much more fun and memorable than any of SCs 3 straight natty appearances

Baseball natty, but I don't follow basketball at all, so kind of biased there.

Anyone who says anything other than final 4 is lying to themselves. I love having a baseball natty but I would trade a baseball natty and agree to never winning another game for the rest of my life if it meant getting a final 4.

Like hell, baseball natty all day long.

A championship every time.

Baseball natty.
If all of college canceled basketball indefinitely, it would not bother me a bit.

Agree. I really don’t understand the comparison. A guaranteed national title or you’re a guaranteed participant, but not guaranteed a title. I’ll take the guaranteed title every time.

Nah. I'd argue college basketball is somewhere around 20X as important and compelling as college baseball, but titles are still all that really matters. I said this before Bama finally broke through and made the Final Four and some of our rivals tried to weirdly lord that over us, and I'll say it today: a Final Four is just making it to the semifinals if you don't get it all done. Give me the hardware in one team sport over the semis in another.

Maybe im biased. I dont think Tennessee will ever make a final 4

If you guaranteed me 3 more CWS ships but we would have to dump basketball all together forever, I’m taking the 3.

I'd like women's beach volleyball down by the river.

If you’re in the Final Four, you have a shot to win.
I don't think this is an either/or question. I love talking shite about UTK's lack of a Final Four, but for the last several years they've had a competitive basketball team and baseball team.
Georgia hasn't had a Final Four in forever or a baseball natty in a long time so I would be thrilled with either. Florida fans are probably the best fanbase to answer this question since they have won both in a tight window.

Baseball championship. Id take a basketball championship over a baseball one right now but Id take a baseball championship over losing in the basketball championship.

Well you made this comment in a thread yesterday and now feel the need for affirmation.
I'd much prefer a baseball National Championship than a Final 4 and I'm sure most LSU fans would truthfully tell you the same.

The responses here seem strictly based on if you're a fan of the particular sport or not. (Which makes sense.)
I grew up watching MLB, but stopped after one of the pro strikes way back when.
That being said, winning a college baseball natty would be the equivalent of a winning an ice hockey or wheelchair basketball championship trophy to me, so I'd go with the Final Four.
And I don't mean that as a slight, I just don't ever think about it, much like most here probably don't care about basketball.
I care way too much about basketball. I'm not a FOG.

baseball. The final 4 was fun but the baseball titles were a season long ride. I also grew up going to the games a lot, so it means more to me personally.

Well, duh. I don't think any honest person would disagree with you there, except probably putting more space between 2 and 3. But that's not what the OP asked.
That said, responders to this thread are responding to different questions. OP asked to choose between:
(A) Final Four with chance to win title
(B) guaranteed baseball title.
It's actually a good way to frame it as you have to account for probability that your team goes on to win the basketball title.
I decided to respond to VFL's interpretation which was simply: Final Four vs baseball title. Every year about this time, I marvel at how fetishized the entirely arbitrary Final Four has become. It’s just the semifinals, I guess with a nifty name? If the tournament expanded to 128 teams with 8 regions, would we start fetishizing the Elite Eight—or still obsess over the Final Four? It’s a weird, arbitrary line to place so much stock in.
Ok, rant off.

Watching Alabama lose to San Diego State in the final four was much more miserable than watching them lose to LSU in the college world series finals.
This past weekend of March Madness averaged 9.3 to 9.8 million viewers.
The 2025 men’s college world series finals averaged 2.5 million viewers.
