Remember him as a player at Iowa. Had a kidney removed and played college football with one kidney. Titans signed him but got scared about his medical condition.
I haven’t heard of his passing yet but it’s possible it could be true.

No, the 1980 team beat Bama 6-3, ending I think a 28 game conference win streak for Bama. We went to the Sun Bowl in El Paso and lost 31-17 to #8 Nebraska.
The ‘81 team that played Kansas in Birmingham lost 13-10 at #8 Alabama in the regular season.

Agree 100%. I’ve been a fan for several decades so I will have the radio on win or lose. But I’ve never been excited this season. Even if we win the division I will be shocked if we fare well in the playoffs.
