All time who are the top four? Kentucky, UCLA, Kansas and North Carolina?

What about currently? Duke and UConn have to be there. Villanova? Florida?

Who are the top four all time and top four in the more modern era?

Since 2000 I would say Florida, Duke, Kentucky and most definitely UConn have to be there. I think UConn has like 5 since 1999 which is ridiculous lol.

I’m interested in top college football programs that are the best college basketball programs in history. I want to know the school with the best combination of both sports.

If someone doesn’t start that thread maybe I will.

It’s a good question but depends on your criteria for success for both sports.

Since 2000 doesn’t qualify as best basketball programs ….. it’s an argument to try and include a certain school . If you have to say those words automatically we know it can’t be so .
Kansas North Carolina Duke Kentucky Indiana UCLA

I don't know if UF is the best but we have 3 AP #1 finishes in football and 3 NCAA titles in basketball.

In the modern era, UF has to be the standard does it not? No one else is winning titles in both the last 30 years, not to mention multiples in both

3 in each since integration is good enough for me.

I think the list is Florida, Michigan, and Ohio St, but I think you have to give Florida the edge. I believe they're the only school with multiple titles in both, and what's amazing is they've won all 6 of them from 1996-present. Florida also has a baseball national title. Pretty ridiculously well-rounded AD

When you say blue blood in football, it's Alabama, Ohio St, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and USC.

In basketball it's Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina, Kansas and UCLA.

Connecticut probably passed Indiana for that sixth position.

UCLA has to be in the top four all time.

Kentucky
UCLA
North Carolina

Those are no doubters. The fourth team could be Uconn, Duke, or Kansas.

Splitting hairs here.

Duke has been good enough, long enough that they are at the top level with any of the other blue bloods. Their resume holds up with anybody else's after being elite for the better part of 40 years. The only reason UCLA is still with the other top teams is because of what they did 50-60 years ago.

UCLA is a lot like Notre Dame in football.

Since 1970 UCLA has 6 national titles. That is tied with Uconn for most during that time, and would be tied for third all time. They dominated under Wooden so thoroughly they cemented themselves as one of the best ever.
