From a macro standpoint, this was clearly a hostile acquisition. LSU identified an undervalued asset (Lane Kiffin), executed a strategic talent buyout, and absorbed Ole Miss’ core human capital into a more scalable enterprise. This is textbook vertical integration.

Ole Miss failed to protect their IP (players), had no poison pill in place, and now LSU is leveraging brand dominance, superior infrastructure, and stronger NIL liquidity to optimize performance synergies. The market spoke.

This isn’t emotional — it’s business. Sometimes the smaller company just gets acquired and rebranded. Happens every day in corporate America.

More like a twice fired, many times disgraced, employee taking a new job at a competitor.

From a macro standpoint
What you describe is a "micro" standpoint. Macro would be all coaches and the movements that took place. I too, was once a high level business professional.

Someone read a PE for dummies book and now thinks they’re a master of the universe.

There’s no such thing as a high level business professional with only 10+ years experience.

This is what I get out of it. The rest of it from everyone else is just pure beta bullshite.

LSU made a good move. I get giving them shite for a day or two but this has now gone on for weeks. It's ridiculous. Time to move on.

Pal you didn’t do anything more than bend over and let Lane have everything including paying ole miss bonuses. This wasnt a strategic mission, simply a whore wanting a hoe. Dottery and Watkins are good pulls but don’t act like he’s taking whoever he wants

To be fair, Ole Miss asked him if they could give him all the same and he said no.
