We will have a team. We will have incoming freshmen in the fall plus whoever we can wrangle from the portal. I just hope we can get the talent level we need.

some of you act like you have no idea how the portal works. some of these guys that are entering will likely withdraw after they see what they're getting offered by other teams. some will leave anyways because they want to just start over somewhere. some were probably told to hit the bricks. we will more than likely replace every single player that actually leaves. for better or worse, that remains to be seen.

USF could have won around 5 games last year with our schedule, so worst case scenario its the same product with less hype

With the attitude of some of these Prima Dona’s that are bailing……our record would be the same or worse with USF’s schedule.

Again. Oklahoma had 30 players transfer in 2024 and made the playoffs in 2025.

Guess I wasn't paying attention over the holidays. WTF happened with Cam? I saw not long ago some were predicting a 10 wins season.

Depends on who you ask. Some say we didnt want to pay him. Some say Golesh is a failure already. Some say frick him.

I say he could get the same money somewhere else but not be on a 5 win team
Dude was amazing talent but that talent did not get up to its potential at Auburn. For whatever reason. Hopefully we can spend that cash on one or two guys that will produce at a higher value.
Hard to let a recruit like that go but I dont think there was any saving it just like there was no saving Deuce. They were going no matter what

I still believe that even with the transfers. If Golesh is coming in to improve the program, then let’s see improvement. In this age of buying players in the portal, there’s no need to have patience with a coach building his program. You don’t need to wait for the freshmen recruits to mature. There’s no reason to accept 6 wins in year one, 8 wins in year two, and 10 wins in year three.
You can win immediately if you’re the right coach.
8-9 wins should be the minimum for Golesh. Not fireable by any means. But it’s a reasonable expectation IMO.

I gave Freeze a ceiling of 8 wins. Might have been 7 in the first 2 years. He had 3 and didn't achieve shite.

Who knows what’s the truth, but it did always bug me that Cam Coleman wore that ornamental watch on the field with his uniform. And that Hugh Freeze allowed him to do that. Like who the frick needs a watch while playing during a game. Just says a lot about the culture Freeze was dealing with and cultivated.
