Yeah that one sucked

Kwon Alexander was another one that broke my heart with me basically being from Oxford

And how bout this one for the superfans, yall remember Derrick green?

We really are all just alike  I used to skip school to watch NSD. Ill never forget the look on cyrus kouandjio's face and the empty joy I felt when he committed.

How do we actually know Golesh is happy with that spot?

He had the money right?

And I could be wrong here but I dont remember us being in the conversation for very many edges at all. So either our staff, DJ included, are buffoons or (using your logic since you know we had the money) they like what we've got and didn't think it wise to overpay.

Me personally I think that's one of 3 positions you do overpay for, but I think we've got a good, savvy, with the times group of coaches and I trust them.

For now

Too late to get one. And we could have got one. We didn't want to pay the cost to get it, but the money was there.

Hmmmm well either AG is confident or stupid. Which one do you think it is?

If they put patches on count me in the group wanting the AD fired and I won't buy a single piece of merch until its gone. frick that dumb sellout bullshite.

You want a starting de right? This'll help. Sucks but it is what it is. You can't be the only school not doing and expect to compete.

If we can overpay for that a-hole we should have put more money in Blocton's pocket.

Same thing here tho. Maybe blocton just didnt wanna be at auburn. The fact he went to LSU isn't great for that argument but maybe he's caught up in the Lane hype and who tf is Alex golesh hype.

It just seems unlikely to me that we're lowballing dudes who have been here two years just to offer more to randos in the portal. And we have to be slinging bags to even be in the same room with oregon you know?

But at the same time we're getting outbid by Kentucky for o linemen so idk. And I don't think we'll ever know. Let's just win some games and see where it goes.
So you'd hope we'd learned our lesson and were ready for a war this time. And in that case he just picks oregon bc they're the better program rn. Stings either way.

Somebody with more time than me needs to see just how many of these kids oregon is missing out on. The money's not infinite. Just bc offord got a shoe deal and 2 mil or whatever don't mean they all are.
We knew oregon was gonna throw an outlandish amount out there in the end.

But who knows fr. Maybe we were offering the same and he just went to the school thats been in the playoffs. That is another angle to the game
This shits annoying. Why even get involved if you're not gonna be serious in the end? Did they think Oregon was really gonna be like "nahh he aint worth all that"?

Might as well just save some time and resources if the Texas schools or Oregon get involved.

The people saying "no production! dont come crawling back" while invoking Cignetti are only those that doesn't want to hear from me. If you're not one of those guys dont worry about me.

Nahh we on the same side there

Is Robinson the second guy behind Brown that everyone is unanimously happy about?

Bryson and everyone should be happy about Joe Simmons. Multi year starter at a program that's had really good coaching and won alot of games. Andre Johnson is a dawg too.

Enlighten me to what philosophies that Golesh and Cignetti share and demonstrate in action, not iust words.

What point do you think im trying to make? He brought a similar number of his guys and is bringing in a ton of p5 experience. Its not ground breaking shite but it's step 1 of the blueprint.

This thing you do where when anybody shows the least amount of excitement about anything and you have to drag your a-hole across their carpet of optimism is really weird.

He's still gotta coach em up before we actually put him up there with Cig obviously. That's why I asked what point you think I'm trying to make. It seems like you think I'm tryna crown the guy already when all I'm doing is noticing parallels. And as far as coaching em up goes Drago's track record of completely flipping Tennessee's offense and USF's entire program inspires plenty of, I won't say confidence, but I will say optimism.

I get it we've been burnt by the last three hires. We're traumatized and tired of being told we're close and this guys actually gonna turn it around. But Drago's track record dwarfs Gus, Harsin, and Freeze's and he's doing plenty right so far and thats exciting to those that aren't just petulant party poopers.
quote:

What exactly are the parallels that intertwine us with Cignetti? We use the transfer portal? Whoop de Doo

You know what they are. You're not stupid.
Wtf is wrong with noticing parallels between what we're doing and what the best coach in the game is doing rn jang?

This hopeless pessimism is such a fricking drag. Some of us choose to have some fun with the things we're interested in.

Wtf does Cig have to do with some "i think i can i think i can" anyways? He has IU running like a Chinese bullet train.

Can less talent win? I don’t know.

Cignetti says to hell with your definition of talent.

Now will we go 11-1 year one like he did? Probably not. I think the defense probably takes a step back..... unless the sophomores really frick some shite up next year and you cant tell me they won't rn.

And hot take im sure but I think he honestly got enough experience on the o line (still not sold on Ramil but Strand and Lehrer will get their shot) to put a damn good offense together.

AG'S goal of proof of concept year one is absolutely within reach. And then you start turning the heads of the big time guys and boosters get less stingy with their money.

The portal class might not have been the flashiest but there's plenty of room for optimism here boys.
quote:

I think a lot of people forget (me included, until I watch highlights) how good he was in 2013.

I will never. To me he's the best rb of my lifetime (I was 9 in 04). And it's not even that close fr. Kerryon and Tank would be next but theres a decent sized gap between.

And if people don't have him in their 2010s mt rAUshmore I'd be skeptical if they even have a brain at all.
I been wanting to go to the space and rocket center. Might have to now just to go give the man a handshake.
One sack allowed in 1500 snaps will definitely play.

Gotta think he's a halfway decent run blocker too.
He's a big deal. Played in every game as a freshman in a blake baker defense. Lsu fans are sad to lose him too.

Even if he's only here a year it's worth it.
Your qb left and your portal class is one of the worst in the conference and your no ball head coach is bringing back the entire shitty arse BBQ gang next year.

Your "down year" is probably gonna be the last time you see the playoffs for awhile.

At least we have some hope for now.
