If Sankey had things his way, the SEC would look like this.

Georgia
Texas
A&M
Florida
FSU
Clemson
Vandy
Tennessee
North Carolina
Virginia
Oklahoma
LSU
Bama
Auburn
Kentucky
Notre Dame

Sankey cares about money, brands, academic prestige, and long-term viability. This means that he would eliminate all schools from the state of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Missouri. He would also replace Cocky with Clemson.

I mean, if he cared about academics, he would probably keep Missouri.

And kick out most of the old members of the SEC.

So, I think he is just concerned with positioning for the future two super conferences between the Big10 and SEC. (As he probably should)

Now is not the time to hold on to nostalgia and the ivory towers of yesteryear. Everything. Absolutely everything must be focused on money and market dominance

Where do we sign?

I wish Mizzou would go back to the Big 12 and just coast to the playoffs every year.

What's the point of being in the SEC? The league is rigged and will never ever let Mizzou win it let's be honest.

This year the Bama and Vandy game was a fuggin joke.

Or how about last year in basketball at Florida? hahahaha Fuggin SEC clowns tried everything they could to fix the game in FL's favor but Mizzou beat the refs and FL.

Don't believe me? Go watch the game. It was soooooooooooooo obvious and Mizzou STILL won AT FLORIDA!! Fuggin clowns.

You SEC people are so pathetic treating college sports like their professionals and totally fail to realize these are schools. lol

And he's different from any other Conference commissioner, how? They're all about the money. That's all it is about and Sankey isn't any different than other commissioners. They're all charged to bring more money into the conference, not keep traditions.

Probably ought to look at the SEC Charter on charter schools. We ain't going anywhere unless we choose to. Besides, isn't there a school from Mississippi in the playoffs? Didn't a couple of Mississippi schools win national champions ships in baseball?

Charter schools can be eliminated. You have fallen victim to a common misconception.

It requires 2/3 of the conference to remove a member institution. That would require 11 of the other members to vote to expel one. That's extremely unlikely.

Exactly how valuable do you think Ole Miss and State are?

Sankey is an employee who does what the institutions tell him to do.

Is that why you never won the Big 12, too?

It's highly unlikely that anyone would ever be expelled from the conference. But, if you buy into the single "mega conference" theory (which I don't), then it's entirely possible that not every SEC will get an invitation to such a new group, which would come about through individual schools banding together, rather than a merger of existing conferences.

Let’s all keep pretending that the SEC can outbid the BIG for any old school it wants. And let’s keep pretending that the SEC/Mizzou thing wasn’t mutually beneficial.

Either way, the whole “you don’t belong” thing is old and stupid. Mizzou fans no longer give a flying f*ck what you retards think. We’ll just keep cashing the check til the blue bloods eat each other alive and destroy this conference, too. Then we’ll move to the most stable option. It’s what we do.

The SEC and B1G will eventually leave the rest of college football behind. If Missouri leaves the SEC or gets kicked out, do you think the B1G will extend an invite?

If not, are you okay with competing in what will become the B league of college football?

Do you have any quotes from Sankey to validate that? Did he tell you that?

Or are you just being presumptuous?

There are probably 40 plus schools from the G5 who are too myopic to realize their place in college athletics is more suitable in a lower division. The FCS schools that do well seem to understand their roles and sustain just fine. Ego and pride will undo these institutions faster than a threat from an outside conference

It wouldn’t materially change my life so whatever. Mizzou will never be “kicked out.” I don’t care about the BIG.

Also, you’d better really think about what you’re begging for. It won’t be the utopia you imagine.

This is coming. The winner of the BIG vs SEC champ for national champ every year. Increased revenues for the 2 biggest conferences. It will be a two league race. The SEC is probably going to have another round of expansion

Blowhard OP made this entire post just to show that he knew this rule.
Don’t indulge.

This won’t even be the dumbest thing he posts today
