Going off 2025 HC salaries, Golding's number would put him around 34th highest paid and just under Utah's Kyle Whittingham

Anyone got confirmation on Smith? That would mean Lacy would stay.

A bit higher than I expected given the lack of experience, but about average for a P4 coach I guess. Would guess the guaranteed amount isn’t that high.

I’m ok with that. If he had gotten 8-9 million I would have questioned Carter’s intelligence

Think we should have stuck with a 4 year contract. I was thinking it would be in the $5M-$6M range with huge incentives.

If smith is staying Im assuming kiffin was told he had to keep Frank Wilson at rb coach.

Yeah pretty silly when we could have just paid him $5M and a 4 year contract.
Not like anyone else was giving him competing offers. Athletic directors are just awful businessmen.

5,000,000 at the most anything more is retarded. The rest should be incentives all the way up to whatever lane would make for a natty. Starting next year. Why is this so hard?

Sounds like Smith has signed a MOU to stay:

That should keep Lacy in Oxford.

Some new information this morning.

Pete Buyout Info:

quote:

If Golding is fired by Ole Miss without cause he is owed 75 percent of his remaining OMAF annual compensation, including the scheduled $100,000 annual increases. If Golding leaves on his own for another job he is required to pay 50 percent to OMAF within 30 days and the remaining 50 percent within one year of his contract terminating.

On3 is reporting they have not seen a new term sheet for Kevin Smith.

JDB contract is $1mil a year.

Bryan Brown new contract says his title is defensive coordinator.

Would have liked something closer to 65%, but $21 mil to move on if he bombs next year isn’t awful and $16 mil after 2 years.

Is that 50% clause for his entire remaining contract? If so that’s huge we would t have to renegotiate every single offseason if he exceeds expectations

I must be out of touch. I thought he was going to be in the 2-3 million range

OM will owe Golding $21m if he bombs next year and gets fired? That sounds awful - isn’t the expectation that he will bomb and OM will fire him and be looking for a coach? Very surprised that number is so high after year 1
