Week One when FSU rolled Bama, the Tide fans were calling for DeBoer’s head and saying Bama should throw all its money at Kiffin.
DeBoer looks solid now, and only the most insecure Bama fans are going to melt about Kiffin going to LSU.

LSU can’t hold Bama’s jocks. When Saban retired Kiffin wasn’t on the list. Period. I’d expect no less than 10 win seasons at LSU or else you dipshits will learn the world has changed. How much money you keep pumping to coaches your program has ruined? What about Texas Tech?

Kiffin was a non-starter for Greg Byrne and the Alabama trustees. Wasn't considered.
Kiffin definitely wanted Bama after Saban retired and word got back he was disappointed.
These are people that worked closely with Kiffin at Bama and they didn't want him. Likely because of the drama and the baggage that they have intimate knowledge of.
LSU believe he's worth the risk I guess. They have their own drama and baggage so it's probably not a big deal to them.

I don't know if DeBoer is going to work out but I wanted Kiffin about as much as Dabo, which is not at all. Congrats on the hire, though.
