Nobody else should be considered at all.
The first game that I ever attended ended in a tie.

I was 6. Halloween night 1981.

Ole Miss 27
LSU 27

I only remember that LSU tied the game late on a FG.

Yeah 5 years from now no one remembers a super successful year unless you win a natty. Ole miss will still be remembered as a nobody. NC's are all people remember in history nothing else matters. So A&M /Ole miss etc can gloat all they want but until that happens you get no respect.

Yet the media and fans will list CWS appearances as an indicator of the strength of a program.

Teams will all put up signs and banners on their stadiums listing all their CWS appearances,

Yet, nobody will remember according to you.

I can only assume that LSU is the only program that doesn't list a CWS appearance as a feather in the programs cap. Please tell me LSU doesn't have any CWS appearance banners at Alex Box or listed in their baseball media guide.

Surely, they wouldn't brag about that.
I'm curious.

Does LSU not put up College World Series banners or flags in Alex Box?
I found LSU on the second page of that list too. LSU ranked 52 in recruiting.

Maybe you should wait a few months before talking shite.

Yeah his control isn't great.

He can get himself out of trouble though.
There are 13 Old South states.

West Virginia isn't one of them.

Texas is one of them.

Oklahoma wasn't a state during that time but we can give them a pass i believe.
I would buy this if Texas hadn't used turf for decades.

Whatever the excuses are it doesn't change the fact that Texas should be able to play on a natural grass field.

They have the money and the climate but for whatever reason lack the desire to play on natural grass.
Freeze and Lane very similar at Ole Miss

Yeah the AP finishes and CFP final rankings might actually lean a little towards Freeze, if you don't include the playoff run Lane didn't coach.
So same as Lane pretty much.

Both got teams to playoff level.

How is this so hard for you to grasp?

Freeze won the first Sugar Bowl for Ole Miss since the dinosaur. He showed we could contend before Kiffin ever got here.

The program was healing before Kiffin and had already shown the same level of success he attained.
Hugh Freeze’s record at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) was 39 wins and 25 losses over his four seasons as head coach from 2012 to 2016 Sports-Reference.com+1.

2012: 7–6 (BBVA Compass Bowl win) Sports-Reference.com

2013: 8–5 (Music City Bowl win) Sports-Reference.com

2014: 9–4 (Peach Bowl loss) Sports-Reference.com

2015: 10–3 (Sugar Bowl win) Sports-Reference.com

Hugh Freeze, pre NIL, had Ole Miss in back to back NY6 bowls (in the current format that'd be in the CFP).

Just stop man.

Nothing to do with our current coach?

The guy was defensive coordinator the entire season.

He also served as head coach for two playoff victories.

Insanity is a good description for your opinion.
They finished with a one game difference in the standings.

Teams can be hot/cold for a weekend.

In the grand scheme, Ole Miss and MSU have nearly equal talent and equal SEC regular season records.

It comes down to who is playing well any particular weekend. It is baseball.
This is just not true at all.

Freeze had us winning as big or bigger than Kiffin.

The real difference started with Tubs back in the 90s when he got rid of the flag.

That began a long, slow repairing of race stuff that is still not completely gone.

Its the Ole Miss administration and fanbase who have kept trying and fighting to improve since the 90s.

Carter as AD and the new NIL structure have more to do with it than Lane.
Ole Miss was 15-15 in SEC play. MSU was 16-14 in SEC play.

State swept their series vs Ole Miss at Starkville. That is the difference in their SEC records really.

Talent wise, the teams are very close to one another.

Baseball is about being hot and on a run at the very end of the year. Ole Miss pitching is red hot right now and thats the difference today.
LSU athletics in absolute shambles this year and their fans feeling bad for a school that had a football team in the semifinals and a baseball team currently playing in a super regional.

Ole Miss is doing just fine.
Its baseball so it really just comes down to being hot.

Baseball is a streaky sport.

Anybody that makes it to Omaha has a chance to win it all.

Finally found something Ole Miss will be good at.

Living rent free in your head. Ole Miss excels at that.
Delusion?

Ole Miss has hated LSU since forever.

The absolute obsession with Ole Miss by LSU fans is recent. And, it is hilarious.

Our Head Coach isn't talking about LSU three times a day.

Lmao
