No B12 in the Top 25 either.

I like Lanning, but how many SEC schools played a cupcake yesterday and still have a higher SOS than Oregon?

Texas is in the playoffs before Oklahoma and Vanderbilt if we hadn’t scheduled Ohio State.

Upcoming games
2026 Texas vs Ohio State
2027 Texas vs Michigan
2028 Texas @ Notre Dame
2029 Texas vs Notre Dame

We should encourage these games.. not penalize teams for playing them.. it’s no different than the argument that CCG losers shouldn’t be punished.

If Texas beats A&M, Texas should be in the playoffs.. but they won’t be unless Oklahoma or Alabama or Vanderbilt loses.. even then, it may not happen, even though Texas would be 3-2 vs teams with 10 or more wins..

OU scheduled Michigan, bama FSU, these are top teams that programs schedule 10 years ahead. Texas doesn’t get any extra credit.

Ohio St fans should be here shortly to convince you that the SEC's strength of schedules are only inflated because the conference is overrated.

You don’t get penalized for playing them. Just for losing them.

Yes, which means we shouldn’t schedule those games as they come with too much risk.

And I hate that..

Dumb statement.

And they certainly weren’t in 2023, just ask LSU about FSU being “like a FCS team.” Boomers statement about scheduling in advance was accurate. Your statement was idiotic

What’s even more shocking is the Aggies are at 13, with the dumpster fire schedule they’ve had. That ND come from behind miracle is carrying a lot of weight.

That’s a couple examples, the overwhelming majority of teams schedule cupcakes for all 4 games.

If Texas schedules Arizona or va tech and wins they are 10-2 and in. Just stupid, upside is a greater seed in the playoffs down side is you miss altogether.

Hence why you shouldn’t risk it. You also don’t get penalized for playing a terrible OOC either. So why would any top team not follow that path?

This is a business and the goal is the playoff, who cares about OOC the committee obviously doesn’t

OSU doesn’t have to play OSU. Kind of the same principle that lead to Henry getting the Heisman over LF.

You lost to a 3-8 team and went to OT with two other bottom feeders. You don't "deserve" shite.

And Oregon's Dan Lanning had the nerve to take a cheap shot at the SEC schedule in his post game presser last night. UO will lose early in playoffs. Watch and see.
