He couldn't beat Bama during their worst season in almost 20 years. Lots of happy thoughts when it comes to BK longevity prospects in BR.

But remember, his inability to beat good teams in the postseason was not his fault. It was Notre Dame’s because they wouldn’t let him recruit top players. He came to LSU to win big postseason games.

But he did beat them Year 1 to end their 2-year reign as SEC champs. All that matters is making the playoff, I accept the reality that Bama is now harder for LSU to beat in the Saban/post-Saban era because of the ecosystem Saban created there that still attracts top recruits but now those games aren’t the “must wins” they were back in 2023.

We make fun of Freeze and AU too, but it’s not as fun since AU fans have gone into a Great Depression. LSU fans still have hope for BK, which makes it fun to watch. It’s like what LSU fans did to A&M with Jimbo before he was fired, but at least Jimbo won a NC that can never be taken away from him. What does BK have in his trophy case?
According to Sidewalk: he has a Reliaquest Bowl Trophy and it’s something to be proud of
