Been seeing a lot of talk about which school is the everything school lately. Usually, it is from Tennessee fans, but a few others, Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas, have chimed in. Compiled the number of National championship teams and academic ranking for all the SEC and a few other schools to compare.
(2000-2025)
University - Academic Ranking - National Championships(Major 3 Sports)
Missouri - 109 - 0 NC (I am usually a defender of Mizzou in SEC but that may end)
Miss State - 214 - 1 NC(1)
Ole Miss - 171 - 2 NC(1)
Vanderbilt - 18 - 6 NC(2)
Kentucky - 152 - 6 NC(1)
Tennessee - 109 - 7 NC(1)"A lots of talk for small amount of trophies"
Alabama - 171 - 13 NC(6)
South Carolina - 121 - 14 NC(2)
Texas A&M - 51 - 15 NC(0)
Arkansas - 189 - 18 NC(0)
LSU - 179 - 20 NC(6)
Auburn - 105 - 20 NC(1)
Oklahoma - 132 - 25 NC(1)
Texas - 30 - 29 NC(3)
Georgia - 46 - 33 NC(2)
Florida - 30 - 33 NC(6)
Compared to a few schools out of the SEC.
Michigan - 21 - 8 NC(1)
UNC - 27 - 24 NC(3)
Stanford - 4 - 52 NC(0)* Has 34 Teams compared to most SEC schools have under 20 teams)
Think Gators have a good argument as the everything school.

The order is backasswards (almost to the point of not being able to comprehend any of the information) but the effort is outstanding.

Give me the Saban era over basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics and track and field combined. It will never happen again but damn it was a fun ride.

So LSU with 6 major championships is clearly first.

Since 2000? If talking about all sports, more than just a good argument!

Without doing this research, my hunch was right that this is a non-fit, garbage pail program.

I don't know why I enjoy LSU fans dogging on Mizzou so much. First off, it makes no sense - I don't get why LSU even notices Mizzou.
But it's still funny.

So we're 5th in Academics and 8th in NCs. I can live with that for the time being.

Yeah, but y’all haven’t won a natty in the 3 major sports since my grandpa was in his prime!

If you can live with be average good for you. I choose more for myself.

As far as college sports go, it's:
Football
basketball
baseball
everything else
Football
basketball
baseball
everything else

What a confusing arse chart
Posted on 4/10/25 at 7:56 am to Simple Solution
This is correct. Football is the main thing, and in that regard Mizzou is doing just fine.

So tell me again with the last two numbers mean, including the one in parentheses?
Your chart makes no sense

Uh, why would that be? There are three programs that have 6 major national championships over that time frame. Here are they are ranked by total number of championships, both major and minor:
Florida
LSU
Alabama
However, I think we can all agree that minor championships, while nice, don't count for much in the grand scheme of things. So you have Alabama with 6 football titles, LSU with 3 football and 3 baseball, and Florida with 3 football and 3 basketball. Football is king in the SEC and always will be, but I have to admit that if you said that Alabama could trade in 3 of our football NCs for 3 basketball NCs, I'd at least consider it. Meanwhile baseball barely counts as a "major" sport. So I think we can pretty clearly rank these schools:
1a) Alabama
1b) Florida
3) LSU
