While he represented the university with class and there is a lot to be said for that in this day and age, he has probably had the worst 3 or 4 game stretch in the history of college football. The player we saw in the first half of the GA game is not the same kid we see today.

The entire LANK movement was the 180 opposite of class.

Did he put the program above himself?

Yeah see this and the lockerroom stories just destroy any image I have that the dude was just Jalen Hurts going through a slump.

Hurts was that great guy who stepped up to the challenge. We were spoiled so much by that

That trip he tried to pull off against OU was super classy. As well as the twerking after TDs…also classy. Coming out of the tunnel before a game and standing there alone so the cameras can capture him….just exudes class.

Jalen didn’t have the year he wanted. Not the year the fans wanted. He had serious issues reading the field. In addition, I don’t think the coaching staff always put him in situations for him to succeed as the OC had little playcalling experience which I think also affected his confidence. They continued to strut his arse out there and doing the same thing over and over and over. They didn’t even take him out of the game once to allow him to breathe and try to reset.

I think Jalen tried very hard to be a leader for this team, a good representative of the program and University and he won the Academic Heisman when most players “don’t come to play school.” I thank him for all of that.

IMO I think he is good person in general, but he is flawed with selfishness and like others said but himself above program. He is not a team player when it comes to football

Did he? I seem to remember him throwing his helmet, talking shite about coaches in press conferences, etc.

He's selfish and has held this program hostage for 2 seasons. I won't completely blame him for turning Alabama into a national laughingstock as DeBoer had a hand in that too.

He's a fricking fraud that has never listened to his coaches.

He was part of the problems that pushed Saban into retiring early.
