Am I the only Bama fan confused why Milroe is such a highly touted NFL Draft prospect?

I just saw on PFF projecting Milroe to go #2 overall to the Browns. Just among Bama QBs over the years, I don't even think he's a better QB than Blake Sims much less being on the level of guys like Tua, Bryce, and Mac. His pocket presence is atrocious, his decision making is horrible, he's wildly inaccurate. Milroe is also not overly young (will be 22 in December). He has interesting physical tools but he's not a physical specimen like Josh Allen or Anthony Richardson was. Why is he projected to be drafted so high?

NFL GMs think he's another Jalen Hurts.

because he is a freak athlete and an NFL team is going to take a chance on him with the hope they can fix some of his issues..

The guy is a damn good college QB imo. He gets far more hate than he deserves.. but Idk if I buy the NFL draft hype. I'm not sold on Ewers in the NFL either.

He is top 5 in completion percentage this year. And he doesn't throw too many short passes.

Don't let facts get in the way of these BAMA Bama haters opinions. They still want Ty in there so bad they can't see straight.

He's definitely not a guy who strikes me with "he can make all the throws" -- yes, he can air it out OK, but in the NFL you have to be comfortable with all of it.

He is part of a trend. NFL passing numbers are at a 10 year low. It is becoming an option league.

What throws can he not make?

He does some things well. He's extremely athletic which you can't coach and he throws a great deep ball. Unfortunately he has the pocket presence of a doorknob and takes way too many sacks because he's constantly looking for the home run. But NFL coaches can coach up pocket presence.

I'd say there's no way he's a top 10 pick but the Colts drafted Anthony Richardson #4 overall so who the frick knows.

Oh because the browns are terrible at picking QBs

there’s your answer.

He’s one of those guys,

amazing athlete. But if he isn’t a better passer now, when will he be? He is never going to have this talent advantage in the pros.

I don't know. He'll have to show a ton of improvement from here on out.

I can't imagine him being a top 20 pick right now.

Would I rather have Throne or Milroe?

Who is bigger? Milroe
Who is stronger? Milroe
Who is faster? Milroe
Who is more clutch? Milroe

He is a damn good athlete. He can learn everything else. That’s the hope NFL teams have to believe

If Anthony Richardson is a first round pick, Milroe can be.

If Mac Jones played in Kalen DeBoer's offense with these receivers, BAMA would be a monster.

OP, you are not crazy. He isn't elite. Be glad when Milroe is gone. Bama will be better without him for multiple reasons. Deboer will be able to instill his full offense next year and then we'll get a better picture of this Deboer team. Milroe was a left over Saban problem.

If Anthony Richardson went as high as he did I don't see why a team wouldn't pick Milroe high. The potential is off the charts. The floor is even a little higher because of his legs.

The same reason Anthony Richardson was a first round pick. They’re hoping for a Lamar Jackon or Jalen Hurts type athlete that’s a run threat and can chunk it. Richardson has been terrible as a passer, though. I think Milroe will be similar to him. Hit some bombs but throw lots of INTs as well. No way id chance a 1st round pick for him

Milroe #1 to the Cowboys.

Would serve them right.
