Not glad but will make the best of it.
I went to undergrad on the west coast and just thought the SEC domination in football was bad for parity and bad for the sport all around. And that's not on the SEC, that's on the other schools.
But still think it would be more fun if the SEC had stayed smaller and UT and OU had gone west. And the Pac12 had continued to matter somewhat.

So glad, especially living in the southeast. The Big 12 schedule was just such dogshit, there were very few games to look forward to.
Happy to be in a conference where people care about sports.

Absolutely thrilled. Lived in SEC country too long and hated OU being in such a has been conference. I’m very excited to be a part of the best conference now and look forward to some new rivals.

Glad for this reason….ESPN and other media outlets pay attention to the SEC more so than any other conference , so it’s good to be included , regardless of any game outcomes. I just wonder if NIL and massive roster turnover that happens because of it will throw enough chaos into the equation that the top teams could change drastically year to year

Its still hard for me to believe. Outside of winning championships there wasnt anything I wanted more out of college sports than to see the Horns in the SEC. Specifically playing OU, A&M, and LSU because regional rivalries are what make cfb great.
Arkansas is no different than the lame arse programs we left behind in the Big 12. Just like Texas Tech, theres very little upside in even demeaning ourselves by being in their presence. Beating them means nothing to anyone.

Never have to go to Iowa again? Lubbock? Kansas? Every game is gonna be intense and matter more....really excited about the move.

Glad
Only one team in this league that has a shitty non-existent fanbase which will be a nice change.

Given the changes since the 1980s, I am very happy with OU being in the SEC. The two super conference future looks likely now.
I actually prefer the very OLD way it was in the 70s/80s when there was a PAC 8, SWC, Big10, Big 8, SEC, and ACC.
I liked the PAC 8 playing games no one saw, the other poor schools in the SWC having to deal with texsa (and OU just playing them OOC), the Big10 (and ND) playing in the cold, and OU playing great Nebraska teams, while Alabama fought with the other old-line SEC teams.

Very happy as a Texas fan to enter the SEC. I remember around 2010 the question was floated if Texas would consider playing in the SEC and Mack Brown and old AD Dodds stubbornly said "if anything we'd go to the PAC"...which I thought was close-minded answer. I have family members that have graduated LSU, A&M, and Mississippi St., so I knew these were the games fans on both sides really wanted. The combination of Mack Brown being vague about retiring and the SEC picking up momentum in championships really hurt Texas over the years and thank god we finally have leaders that understood this. You can tell because our recruiting is now fixed and our fan base is amped up.

Kind of see it like moving to a new house in a nicer neighborhood. Looking forward to the new house and the new neighbors.
.. but that doesn't mean I won't miss the old house and the old neighbors.

Happy to be here. SEC is by far the best choice of what is left of conferences. B1G is a geographic nightmare, so is the Rig12 and the dying ACC to lesser degrees.
Even though it may be a bit strange having Texas and OU on the schedule as conference games, it won't be nearly as weird as the matchups in literally any other conference. USC playing Maryland and Rutgers? Arizona State playing West Virginia? Not only are those not very compelling matchups, they're also conference foes that have no history with each other or make any damn sense.
I can only speak for Texas, but by coming in we gain two more rivalry games while retaining our biggest one, and we also have some recent history playing Bama, Georgia, LSU and even Ole Miss.

This is what most longhorns wanted. Which is why I am glad you’re here. You playing teams that are legitimate is exactly what needed to happen.
No longer will the path to a championship be easy for you. I know that’s what you wanted.
Sorry. Didn’t happen.

You can say anything you want about Vandy here. Their fans only appear during baseball season and occasionally on game threads.

I think that what it all boils down to is that football fans want to see great games. That's why playoffs and championships are so fun to watch...
... for fans in other conferences, that is. It's just another Saturday in the SEC.
