I want a time-travel redo where someone smart is at the NCAA.

They understand there is too much money not to share with athletes, so in 1995 they institute a stipend for all athletes based on revenue.

Besides, room, board, and education, every athlete gets 2k a month spending money.

See how that plays out. (Yeah, some asshat, greedy parent and/or the same lawyer would probably F that up too)
NIL and unlimited transfer is not doing enough to kill college football, head coach paranoia has killed the spring game. Psuedo practice is not worth the trip or even a ten buck ticket.

OU crapped out on a very long running tradition and did a half-arse test session and a few drills.

Spring attendance ~

2022 - 75,000. 2023 - 54,400. 2024 - 45,800 (some weather problems too)

2025 spring whats it - maybe 10 k, but looked less.

:banghead:
I suspect most Sooner fans would not miss Moser. Not sure who OU would hire in his place, but 1 APPEARANCE in the ncaa tourney in four years should not be hard to replace.

With the weather forecast for Oklahoma, I would be surprised if OU and LSU get in one game, let alone three
Hope OU can win. I still do not trust Moser to figure out how....
Do NOT like Kansas and I HATE Bill Self. I might even cheer for texsa against KU, but sure will go for Arky!

Landry is a KEY player for post season. I hope she returns this week and is fine, but pushing if she is injured would be stupid.

Given what we have seen thus far this season, Landry Lowery and Smith are the top pitchers. The others have different assets, which could be most helpful in relief stints.
If he went to OU Friday or Saturday, it was a recruiting weekend.

Kanak needed a RS to figure out where he should play. BV screwed him by throwing him in as a LB when he played safety in HS.

Game kid. I wish him great success this year.

BV still needs to become a HC and not a DC paid like a HC.

It is counted as a practice. All teams have scrimmages. Spring games are one of the scrimmages. Unless practices in pads or scrimmages are cancelled, the spring games are NOT an ADDED chance for injury.

Cancel all spring practice and have no injuries - probably not win as many games, but all the injuries will be in fall camp....
Regardless of what teams my Sooners have beaten, they deserved last place at least honorary last place due to the HC.

Are spring practices pointless? There are scrimmages during spring practices. If those are pointless, why do coaches have them.

All we PAYING FANS want is to watch one damn scrimmage during spring. The paranoid coaches that think every other team will learn something or grab their players due to one scrimmage being seen should look in the mirror because that is where their team's lack of performance stems from!
Nice hire.

Guy has professional experience in cap management and scouting. He should know "value" in NIL. Michigan grad.

Best thing about the hire - he is NOT a former OU guy, and the admin might have grown up enough to hire on merit and not former OU boys.
OU needed that win. Now, winning one of the next two will put OU in the conversation for top ten. Win both, and OU should vault up the voting for top baseball teams.

I am hoping for a good to great showing.

Still, it will be the SEC performance that impacts seeding and post season chances. Sooner baseball does NOT want to pull "a Moser" and win early only to get drubbed in conference play!

Fine OU players, but first year idiot HC and worse DC.

UGA rans some base running plays for huge yardage because the defenders and the DC could not get together on pre-snap positions.

Even with the crap defense, OU had a good chance to put the game away (up 7 with less than half a quarter to play at their own 40+). The pansy HC that was/is supposed to be an offensive guru ran three times and punted rather than have the Heisman winner pass to get a first down.

UGA won and scoreboard counts. The OU players deserved better coaching that year.

OU plays texsa in Norman at a 4k+ facility that will be packed and cheering hard against texsa.

OU has to play Florida in Gainsville AND so does texsa.

In past years, TU has had trouble in Norman, and although OU has done well in Austin, that is where TU has their wins.

I would assume UF wins the TU series and likely the OU series. How they hold up on the road will determine their SEC standings.

Personally, I would change UF and TU and keep OU #2.

Tornadoes continually thin the trailer herd in Oklahoma. We might lead in former trailers....
That is flat out BS!

I don't think Heupel is a great coach, but Bradford had a RS year under him followed by a RS frosh year, followed by a Heisman winning year.

His pro coach was an idiot who spent all his draft picks on defense and never got an OL to protect him. Fisher is the jerk-wad that ruined his pro career!
Just shows how horrible pre season rankings are.

I am a Sooner fan and I knew they sucked before the texsa game.

Perfect storm of down teams and EASY SCHEDULE to give texsa fans false hope about the quality of their team.

If one is talking FOOTBALL, then aggie is not close.

Over the last 75 years (and more so this century) until the last three years, aggie has not been near the top of football for the state of Texas.

For those periods, Texas U is clearly better and second only to OU! :pimp:
