If Kentucky is the Top Job In College Basketball

Why have their last three coaching hires been Tubby Smith, Billy Gillespie, and John Calipari?
Over the last 25 years, all of the following programs have hired better coaches who have had more success:
UConn
Duke
North Carolina
Kansas
Villanova
One could argue Florida, Baylor, Virginia, and Michigan State have been on par with Kentucky during this time too
Is Kentucky really still the top job? It so why have they not hired better coaches their last three tries? And why will this time be different?

Two of those guys won a National Championship.
And Tubby had a very good resume when he came to Kentucky. That’s some serious revisionist history pretending that wasn’t a good hire.

At one point the same was said about the Alabama football job. All it takes is one good hire to get back to where they used to be

Tubby and BCG was the hottest names at the time. Cal seemed to be content with staying at Memphis.
They aren't taking guys from places like buffalo a few years removed from HS ball.

Kentucky could hire Nate Oats at any moment in time, it would take little to no effort

BAMA football hired 3 Mikes in a row.
UK is Top 5 jobs in college basketball.
BAMA is not. shite happens. It sucks to get blue-blooded.

If Alabama is the top job in College Football, why did they hire Mike Dubose, Mike Price, and Mike Shula?

Cal will be happier in Fayetteville

Uconn and Duke are top2 imo.

This is dumb. Since Saban was hired at Bama the following schools have won national championships
Florida
LSU
Ohio St
Auburn
Michigan
FSU
Clemson
Does that mean Saban and Bama sucks?

This is stupid and you should feel bad for actually posting it and showing everyone how stupid you are.

Ah yes, another fine product of a quality Tuscaloosa education.

All have benefitted from the rise and power of ESPN
Billy FudgePacker was the UNC shill
Dookie V started as the Wolfpack shill, then switched to Dook
UConn (men & women) did not exist till ESPN started in Bristol, CT
Had a long chat wit Pat Summit before alzeheimners took hold and she was spot on about ESPN's undue influence on teams / conferences success as they gained power

I wonder if anyone’s mind has changed about Kentucky being the top program and top job in college basketball over the last few days?

Can we get a roll call for the 39 people that downvoted this? Or the three that upvoted it?
