Most people realize Auburn has a strong team.

Auburn has a strong team but unfortunately they got lined up with a Final Four level matchup in the Sweet 16.

UConn probably feels like they got screwed getting a KenPom/NET-rated top five team in the Sweet 16 as the number one overall seed. One of them will be going home before the second Saturday.

Auburn is definitely a contender, though. Especially if they can get past UConn in the Sweet 16.

Auburn didn’t have many quad 1 wins was average against good teams and lucked through the SEC tournament not having to play the top 3 seeds and drawing an overrated 5 seed in South Carolina which overachieved all year

Auburn lost to a school that didn’t even have a single player on an athletic scholarship. In the NIL era, that is crazy.
